Damn, I wonder who's gonna jump on that chance. People should be knocking down Ralek's door.
I hope Henatch steps up and teaches Vinny a lesson.
any 10th p black belts vinny's size and sort-of-same-experience in SoCal?
Check out the interview with Ralek by Ariel Helwani, they give all the details. Starts around 36 mins into the show - http://www.mmafighting.com/2014/11/1...y-johnson-yves
^^ yes, he got a 10p bb as well.
There are a lot of fighters I would LOVE to see step up here. But on short notice its gonna be tough! Can't wait to see who they come up with!
Pretty ballsy by Vinny to take on any comers.
You mean, pretty ballsy for anyone to step up to Vinny in a sub-only match. After all, he broke Buchecha's ankle and made him scream like a teenager in a horror movie.
6mins 25 secs.

Writing the email right now.
Holy shit. Is that the same tournament where he messed up Daniel Gracie's nether regions?

EXACTLY! Now, who's the ballsy one? LOL
Looks like a resume was sent in today by the one and only Eric Red Schafer! UFC Vet and black belt under Pedro Sauer.
9 time UFC Veteran I would love to see that fight! Only tapped once in over 100 matches!
The 10 applicants can be voted for on the Metamoris facebook page
The applicants are as follows:
Applicant 1/10: Casey Ryan
Applicant 2/10: Jeremy Arel
Applicant 3/10: John Hansen
Applicant 4/10: Shannon Ritch
Applicant 5/10: Joshua Hinger
Applicant 6/10: Bruno Bastos Cruz
Applicant 7/10: Matheus Diniz
Applicant 8/10: James Puopolo
Applicant 9/10: "Super" Dave Zennario
Applicant 10/10: Matt Arroyo
Anyone you would most like to see?
I wonder how Bibiano Fernandez would fit in with this type of competition
Not a single one of those guys excites me compared to what they COULD HAVE found. There were UFC veterans that applied, and a few household names too. (Personal opinion though)
Puopolo would be cool but I'd like to see Jeremy Arel get there.
I hope that's not all. If this is a list that they're picking from, they're literally picking the easiest fights. Shannon Ritch? That guy's been losing since I was a teenager. His MMA record is 53 wins, 76 losses with 53 losses coming by submission. Picking a guy like that over Red Schaffer is making a mockery of the sport.
Hinger or Bastos
I don't doubt some of these guys have mad skill. However I agree to pass on a 9 time UFC vet and black belt under Pedro Sauer makes it feel like they don't take the match seriously. They would have been in same divsion in Tue UFC too wouldn't they? Or was Red bigger
Lol @ Shannon Ritch
My vote goes to Hansen. He's got slick X guard and deep half and great leg lock defense. Puopolo is tough but doesn't really have great sub skills; I don't see him tapping Vinny. Bruno Bastos is past his prime.
Hinger gets my vote!
Matheus Diniz. I wonder why they picked him?? Watched a video and he's good, but nothing special. No disrespect, but hes not on Vinny's level.
Bernardo Faria wrote: "One of the toughest guys I ever trained in all my life!!!" So did Keenan. I guess they went the route of giving a brown belt a chance to make a name for himself. I'm intrigued.
