Good Job!
nice no gi eziquel attemp from guard, theres better leverage with that from the mount though, your safistication level of jiujitsu is really to high to be a 'white belt' homie, time for a promotion. and please wear some head gear, coliflour ear is not a good look for woman alla marlice koonan
These matches were actually 10 minutes and 20 minutes long thus the reason i am going SOOOO SLLOOOWWWW...sub. only is a totally differant animal...
Awesome job once again. Sub only are nasty.
super job gabby!!!!!!!!!!!!
9:20 japanese neck tie chance or no?
Sick technical matches. The meta game for hip control in the first one was great. Awesome escape from that arm bar attempt too.
You know at 2.00, was it possible to just try and clear the neck and then maybe go for a slow kung fu move.
awesome vid!
Thats what i wanted to do...maybe i should of gone for a straight gogo even?? She had my right leg trapped super tight..i should of never let go of my hug and the trapped arm on the mat. Anyone have any advice on what to do when they pin the leg thats supposed to go in the hip??
nice job! awesome cardio, and very cool to watch you think your way through those armbar defenses. very smooth and cool!
Fuck everything else. As soon as you get to training, drill that move! When you learn it correctly, looking at all the points in MTS 13 helped me get it perfect, it is unbeatable as a move. You probably find yourself in top half-guard a lot when passing, and it's just there for the taking and is ridiculously hard to escape.
Gotta clear the neck gabby, even if you can't get your foot on the hip, CLEAR THE NECK and work from there. You could've even double bagged before the clearing of the neck. From there, invisible collar would've loosened her up for a gogo or a kung fu to jiu claw or even an invisible croc. Get back to Kevin's asap!!! :)
Great job!
Kevin...you gonna be in tomorrow?? Gonna bring her down tomorrow to train...Im with you guys...she needs some things cleaned up...
^ cool dad
it looked like the double bag was there at 1:30, you gotta drill it. if you can comfortably double bag to invisible crackhead, it makes rg feel broken
Yup...we are open :)Quote:

Kevin, howsa bout Friday...today's not lookin so good now...
Fun matches for a spectator. I love sub only. Excellent arm defense! Little sloppy in RG, perhaps too focused on freeing your right leg? You can do other things with the right leg trapped. I appreciate the vid, and congrats on the badass triangle!
When that leg is being held tightly, but you can still manuever your foot around then that double bag to chill dog should be ur first option. A Meathook to Pop-triangle will work too since your leg is not actually trapped beneath ur opponent, just gotta have wicked wrist control and a good pyramid set-up. That last chick was perty big tho, way to survive for awhile ;)
Just got on the site and saw this thread. Haven't even seen the whole vid yet.
But, want to 'meet' you and say "Nice Job!" and send love ur way for another 10th Planet Sister competing out there.
Been in this exact situation in comp before--last at Gracie Nationals 2010. Those girls can trap that right leg well! I did the double bag to go to neck clearing. Had to do it twice as my competitor was seriously strong! We gals have the flexibility and our competitors don't have those hugh backs.
Would love feedback on these thoughts.
First time Juli ever double bagged thru the path to a sweep was in competition :)
nice sweep in 1st match, in 2nd nice survival skills against a good & larger apponent, one nice triangle escaping principle, is to quickly join your knee to your trapped elbow, shift your body over there chest and pop the triangle right open, & you have side control. your at the blue belt & at this level, become like Houdinni, Master of Escapes
Thanks for all the advice guys...the triangle was the least of my concerns...its hard to see in the video but she has my arm left arm and hit an americana on it while in the triangle...my elbow popped and i had to tap...i had nothing left after 20 minutes with her...shes a really good purple belt who has beat the likes of Alaina Hardie and fight pro divisions...she also has 50 lbs on me...i tried to hit some leg locks but she just powered through most of them...tough chick...I think i can do better next time...i clearly have alot to learn...
No Worrys, your on your way.
Gabby... Your my hero.
great job
