So on our way to cali for EBI, we made a pit stop in Austin, Tx for Fight 2 Win. Cora fought in 3 weight classes (80-109 lbs), 4 divisions. She went 6 and 2 (losing a ref decision to her training partner and got caught in one). Overall she did great and got a few more fans of her rubber guard. Just showed my 5 year old daughter these videos. She just started JJ a month ago, she only likes rolling with girls. She is a huge fan now. She says "daddy she beats all the boys, can I do that?" We are in Arlington Texas, maybe we'll see her.

But what I want to point out is that Cora's top game is looking really good, her strong posture in closed guard is what stuck out most to me as a significant improvement in her game.
Cora just keeps getting better and better and at a very high rate, and she's only 12?!?! Wtf. What a crazy pace and path she's on. EBI is gonna rule. Jessa is a fanatasic Jiu Jitsu player, it's gonna be incredibly interesting to see how they match up March 22 :)

On a side note, does Cora have any specific stretching routine? How did she get so incredibly flexible?
I make her stretch everyday. This girl is not naturally flexible, it takes work for her to even be this flexible. The kid that is super flexible is Derek Rayfield at HQ. His flexibility is insane!!! The boy can dead orchard HIMSELF!!!!!Quote:

80-109 lb, that means she's weighing in at 89 and fighting divisions that top at 89, 99, 109. When in the 109 division she's fighting people 22% heavier.
Imagine that for full-grown people. Geo Martinez fights at 145, Gary Tonon fights at 170... That's less than 22% increase, less than what Cora steps up.
She's also fighting boys. And I know the boys are young enough so they are not growing beards and have full benefits of Testosterone, but some of those boys she was fighting likely have some peach-fuzz and I bet their T levels are substantially higher than Cora's already.
She's winning on technique and skill, over boys, who outweigh her by 22%. And 4 divisions in 1 day!
It's really quite amazing. It makes you proud of Cora, but also proud of Jiu Jitsu
I'm soooo excited to see Cora at EBI3...
