Chai an HQ blackbelt showed me a video of Dillon Danis entering the honeyhole off of a ham sandwich sweep. I've been trying to find it the last 2 days. Does anyone know where to find it?

Ham sandwich is like a 1/4 honey hole. After you sweep you just need to secure the opponents leg. Extend your inside leg to a deeper hook and bring your outside leg under to control. Can do a similar sweep /entry from dog fight or jail break.
Seriously not cool reading this title and being famished as fuck. Okay, need to get up, get gone and score some food.
Peace.
We were doing some live leg pummeling drills on Sunday and it seemed like this transition was happening over and over again with one of my drilling partners who kept rolling so that I could set up the ham sandwich and then rolling again until I was in honey hole.
I like this one.
I think this is what you want.

Just watched it, sweet ass combo
I personally find that forcing their knee back in once it is already on the mat is incredibly hard if they have any clue what they are doing. He might have figured out some mechanics I don’t know though…. Or be super strong. Even super strong though, is he gonna roll me back up if I’m driving me knee to the matt WHILE keeping good control of my leg? His opponent did not resist at all in the video and just kind of froze there and waited to lose so I can’t see what mechanics he’s using to get it done if he CAN do it. Beats me, I’d love to learn it if it’s a thing because I’m there all the time and I have to switch attacks and I can tell you some world class leg lockers are switching attacks right there rather than forcing that because I’ve watched them and asked them.
So I’d love to see footage of it live if you’ve got it ;)
Ham Sandwich fan right here.
Alder showed this to me when I was a white belt and I never really did understand it until maybe the last year or so. I find myself there alot these days.
Doesn't Einstein have a good Ham Sandwich? I remember hearing that somewhere.
Gonna play with this! Love the entry :)
I get a lot of mileage out of the Ham Sandwich, and this transition, having also been taught the HS by Alder about 7 years ago. I find that you can sort of Scissor Sweep from the HS into the Honey Hole. The key is getting ahold of their foot with the opposite hand as the foot you are hooking their knee with (Your right foot hooks their left knee, your left hand grabs their left foot). If they turn away from you the wrong direction and you sit up quick, locking your hands around their waist, then you get the calf crush/knee separator/whatever from the back. I find the easiest way to practice the HS is stepping into it when they are playing open guard; you get really good at grabbing that foot and getting it up to your hip bone, which is the most critical aspect.
I've been doing this stuff for years, the ham sandwich is my world!!!!
