Serious question. For those of you who advocate smoking weed regularly. At what age would you suggest your son/daughter, brother, newphew, neice or whomever, start smoking?
Would it be like the drinking age, which is 21 in NYC? Younger? Maybe 18? or perhaps younger still?
What age is too young? What age is OK? I'm curious...
I say wait until you have a good paying job, you don't wanna start unless you can afford dank ass shit, smoking dirt weed is whack. And there is nothing worse than a vulture stoner
Once you're 18 you're old enough to make your own decision. I'd say 18 is probably the earliest I'd want my child to start.

You want to have some intelligence banked up so that when you do smoke you actually have something worthwhile to ponder. Then you have some appreciation for what it can do.
yeah id say once you feel your mature enough to look at it as more than a party drug. I think the legal age should be 18, but if i had a 16 year old son and i caught him doing it in his room. Id be cool with it. Id probably smoke with him and have some of the "life" conversations id want to talk to him about.

Some random things to consider:
-The human brain stops serious development at around 25, no puberty, not 18, and not 21.
-The human body develops until 20-22, roughly. This changes for male v. female, but is a general area.
-Your child will be exposed to that shit and more in college, whether you like it or not.
-Your child will generally be exposed to this in high school, if not earlier, at least in passing. This may sound extreme, but check out studies that ask middle school kids which ones have used, which have seen, smelt, stood near a friend using, etc. The numbers are shockingly high.
-IMPORTANT: i used to work in a top cannabis club in northern CA. A legit doctor and friend explained short-term memory issues to me. Cannabinoids block receptors used in some short-term memory processes. This is why you can't remember shit when you are high. However, these go away over time. The issue is that, with regular usage, these build up and essentially clog the receptors. Even for serious users, taking 7-10 days off every 3 months (though it sucks) will clear almost 100% of that build-up, preventing most or all permanent short-term memory issues. This is even more true for children and teens, so if your child is going to smoke in college, make sure they know to at least take breaks.
-Cannabis is a grey- to black-area drug, depending on the level (federal, state, etc.). The laws are ridiculously complicated. if you are going to smoke, you need to understand them all, and not through word-of-mouth or your friend who generally knows his shit. Even non-cannabis lawyers are often completely off the mark, I've seen it a ton of times. Go to seminars, look it up at legit online sources, or message me. What seems legal is often illegal, and vice-versa, and sometimes little things you do can be the difference between getting a traffic ticket or headache, and spending time in a cell. Know your rights if you are going to smoke pot in this country - trust me, it's a lesson a lot of people learn the hard way.

I started early at 13 but my fam had a strict 18 or older rule as far as smoking w/ the fam. which led to some awkward weed pinching wars between me and my ol' man lol. i say i'll stick w/ this program!

I would say start smoking when you're 22. You should learn about weed and think about some issues that are actually important, as opposed to smoking because it's cool and thinking about how trippy Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is. By 22, you have probably had some actual life experiences and things you legitimately need to work out, and weed can help with that.
You want to get a good jump on the best strains, so proly start as a fedus.

It may be just me, but I kinda feel this may be a troll like question. Did someone expect Eddie to jump on and start saying " if you can walk.......time to get your smoke on !!!!!!" Not gonna happen.
I will say, I met Eddie when I was 9 and have stayed in contact ever since. He has never tried to force any ideas about pot use on me. I hear other 7th graders talk more about pot than Eddie ever has around me. YUP.....Shocker 7th graders smoke pot. Not me and I have no plans to. I never do anything because someone else thinks it's cool, or because they try to presure me into it.
Think for yourself, make choice's for yourself, Just because Eddie does it, doesn't mean all of us 10th planet warriors fall in line to do it. Thats more of a tradtional BJJ thing. You know.... to follow there Sensai's around copying everything they do. Dress the same way, same haircuts, same bad attitudes, for the most part. Now look at 10th planet players. We come in all shapes and size's and first order of buisness is we are taught to be free thinkers on and off the mat. Whatever form that may take.

Wish I could send Conner to every middle school in America so maybe some of that maturity will rub off, lol. It's a personal choice and everyone is ready at a different time, I tried it when I was 12 and didn't think much of it (probly shwag, lol). Started to get fairly regular around 15ish, but never let it consume my life. Everything in moderation, keep a project or two on your plate and keep yourself busy so your just enhancing your experiences, not replacing them. In general, waiting till ur 18 doesn't seem like a bad idea, everyone matures differently though.
Obviously Compella is right, everyone matures differently so the age of 21 seems about right. I know 18 year old smokers who think they went paranoid and got depressed from it, but it always stems from the brainwashing they are fed by the anti-pot police.
I think you should have to get a license for it, and the basis of that license is that you have watched The Union, read The Emperor Wears No Clothes and attended a "How to Inhale" class ;)

well i've been smoking since i woz twelve and now at 32 with 2 kids i would advise people to get there lifes sorted first and ofcourse educate themselves.the weed hes lots of great property's but also has one major drawback for peeps-the motivation robbing quality's that is.-so defo make sure your life is on the right path before dabbling-and remember 'everything in moderation'. :-D
i would also like to add this bit of info for my american friends.-here in the uk we have alot of hash problems.the only weed we get here is homegrown due to the climate and greedy dealers are mixing it with ground up glass or silicone spray.-nasty stuff,and the only alternative is hash which we call soapbar,which is another horrible situation altogether.-check out the link and educate youselves.
