Her jitz did not look good IMHO. I was really suprised. Not trying to kill the girl as I know she was 10 p at one point but you have to call it like it is man. Wether it was nerves or she just doesn't have the skill... It didn't look good.
I know she was 10th Planet but was under the assumption she wasn't anymore
Jessamyn Duke and the rest of the Horsewomen train primarily at CSW; I think. I've only seem them a handful of times at HQ. They're either hitting mitts or using up the cage to go over some catch wrestling moves with Josh Barnett.
Jessamyn has spent a lot of time with Eddie training. She's also been on his podcast twice. The old Duke would have grabbed mission control like 50 times. I bet Barnett convinced her it was a waste of time. He probably told her she'll never win on bottom and she needs to get up or on top instead of clinching from there.
Why isn't she 10p anymore? Does anyone else think a female fighter with really good rubber guard could dominate in womens MMA?
I do... An I don't think it will be too long until you see it :)
Yeah, I have a theory as to what's going on, but it's none of my business, and I'm probably wrong anyways
No rubber guard, no lockdown....idk. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Right?
I was hoping she was gonna rep it, but you gotta have faith in the system for it to work for you. And I am not talking blind faith, but the kind that comes from thousands of reps. It gets easier to filter the bull from the goods as you progress and build your game.
Jessamyn is best friends with shayna, and shayna is CSW4L. Case closed :)
They have a lot of great stuff, and I always add things to my game that fit with what I am doing. But I never abandon what works. She must look up to her alot.
Sorry to be ignorant:
CSW?
+1. I remember her first fight on TUF. She seemed really comfortable working the RG and even double-bagged a couple of times with great ease.
With her build, she probably could have developed a guard as dangerous as Ben Saunders' if she had stayed the 10P course.
