Hello everyone, been browsing through the MTS search form. Can't seem to find a video that shows how to defend or escape heel hooks. Is there an episode around that shows how to defend them, or escape them? If not, any suggested links that I could study on escaping and defending heel hooks.

Check out the Cummings Honey Flow on MTS 98 its one of my fav techniques to drill currently. It also sets up the basic "Carl Lewis" escape if you want to bail out and reset (instead of reversing the heel hook with the Honey Flow)
All depends which position you are trying to escape from, each position has escapes along with the heel hook.
Alan Belcher's webinar he did a while ago has some pretty good stuff on defending heelhooks. As Coach Zog said thought different escapes for different entanglements and different heelhooks.

Definitely what Sean said. However hand fighting while in the position will buy you time and frustrate your opponent. But like everyone said best defense is don't get caught there
