How can i defeat the darce

Hey guys,
I find myself being darced when i am in lock down, whipping up and getting to my side. Could someone please give me some suggestions on defeating this annoying issue?

You'll pretty much never get darced again.

Zach Maslany also showed interesting counter to the Darce from this position at the SW No-Gi Summit.

Jake Shields, Big Red and Denny still finish me with the picture day defense. Best advice I can give you is to mind your head positioning, either have your temple low to their belly or at their far shoulder so they cannot clear your head. Jarrell has helped me with this, he loves vice grips and I don't love being in his. I will make a video about it.

Alex, what are you doing with your neck - extending/straightening it, or bringing your chin in tight when you put your head into the belly?

Here's some extra detail on how to posture during that picture day defense. By no means is it an unbeatable defense (nothing will be), but it's for sure a game changer and will help you survive long enough to make the next move.

That concept of lining up the hips as well as the head and shoulders helped me a lot

Clinch high or clinch low...this detail was given to me for the exact question and it works...flairing the underhooking elbow also gives some space, selling the move also makes em squeeze then loose hope

That's solid additional detail Bmac, as I didn't have a problem with people going picture gay as I could still finish. But, that posture is crucial. Preventatively, E_Rock09354 staying high with your under hook and head or burried really low, as Alex said will also reduce your chances of find yourself in that position.
