..you can just give me a blue belt?:rolleyes:
In the mail?
No, you have to win the gold AND the absolute brown belt divison. Then maybe
Forget these guys man, just go straight to the source:

It'll impress your friends, but as the late great Leslie Nielson once said 'It's like eating a spoonful of Drano; sure, it'll clean you out, but it'll leave you hollow inside.'
My best advice is to come out to headquarters and spend some time.
If you win the blue belt division....do you really need a belt?
No. I don't need a belt. I just thought it was kinda funny. This guy came in today to Summit City Submissions and apparently he's some kinda Judo Brown belt or something. His name is Tyler. He had some strong 10th Planet moves too but I caught him in the Texas Cloverleaf in 50/50 guard and he couldn't catch me in anything. We kinda switched between dominating positions in the roll. I think he might have won if we were tallying points. But I caught that kid and he's my zombie now!!! I captured that mofo. It was a real big ego boost day for me today. Prolly chill out a bit tomorrow tho. But me thinks my sensei is proud of me so Imma keep this day in my heart a while.
Oh and I so wanna hit up HQ. It's just a matter of time, homie. I'll be there. May take 'nother year or so, but...
If you win that belt division and send me 50$ I will send you a blue belt in the mail. :)
50$? I'll just buy a blue belt at the Hoosier open then. :D
LOL I guess I can't scam ya. Good luck though! post video of your matches.
It's gonna be like next year, but Imma pad the hell out of that tournament if/when I happen to place. The videos will be ran on my facebook, youtube, Nibiru Forum, I'll try to get it on the local news...just wait man. It's gonna be legen.....wait for it....
I have a question? Summit city submissions your teacher Noah were did he get his 10 planet training from
Ooh...are you going to try to trap me with the fact that he got boned by Brandon Quick? And how Brandon threw him away like an old newspaper when he got found out? The facts are that Noah's been training Jiu Jitsu since a little after UFC 1. Brandon actually took alot of his moves from Noah. And I believe Brandon recently placed third in the Miami Open Brown Belt division. Ari Bolden did a seminar in Chicago some time back that Noah attended and told Noah that he had a stronger working knowledge of 10th Planet than he did. He asked Noah, if I'm quoting this story correct, if he was a black belt while Noah and were helping some kids adjust Old School and Lockdown and the basics they were covering.
If this is a legit question, I'm sorry I got so mean. I believe Noah learned 10th Planet from the books, the DVD's and just showing up at various Gyms. He's now a 2 stripe white belt under Marcelo Monteiro because he wants to secure unquestionable lineage. This is his lineage now.....Dela Riva-Marcelo Monteiro-Noah Karbach. But we still got love for 10th Planet at Summit City Submissions.
I was asking because you go to the web site there's no info on the teacher. I know that that the people who teach 10 planet are legit with the system.
He once thought he was a legit bjj brown belt and it was posted on the website that he was, but his old instructor now claims Japanese Jiu Jitsu lineage so he's done with that guy and the website is down for now. And we're under a new system that is Gi oriented. But he teaches nogi options for every gi option. It's like we're barraged everyday with 18 transitions that we have to memorize on a dime or we're going to lose our edge. It's intense.
You know, I truly believe some people get fooled by fake BBs, guys who advertise that they have BB in BJJ and then promote. Even those with legit skills that feel burnt because they were never ranked open a school, and just for the fuck of it say they are whatever belt. (I know a yellow belt (i think) that crushes purples and some browns that no one wants to rank -- but I digress).
On the other hand, some schools, the instructor is injured and never rolls with anyone, and I am beginning to see this a lot!
But also, the infamous BJJ police go after many folk who fake the funk, so other than those who are caught, I can see a ton of grapplers who got rank from a fake BB running around soon to find out their linage has a problem, a broken link if you will.
i don't like people who talk about how they tapped some guy in the gym on a forum.. keep it to your class mates and in the gym.no blue belt for you
Just enter the tournament and post vids. Curious to see you roll with all the times you called me out.
I've also been tapped by a 2 stripe white belt named Noah many times. And last year when I was at the Gracie Academy in Lagrange, Indiana, this 4 stripe white belt totally tapped me like 8 times in a row after I caught a few of the blue belts there. I'm not trying to stroke my ego here, entirely, I'm just having some fun typing Einstein. But I do appreciate the advice too...coming from a smack talker in his own right.
Or was that just some hating? Either way, Einstein just made fun of ME!!!!
Well I have been grappling since I was a child. Just not under a gym. I have every intention of putting the work in as I have in the past. My goal is to get the belts when I get the belts. They're already mine anyway. This battle has been fought a billion, trillion, infinite number of times. You can judge me as not being humble, but the fact is that none of you are the judges of humility. We've placed that esteemed position on God for the end of all days and refused to relinquish it to him at the same time. A man in vast. He is humble and he is arrogant. He is small and he is large. He is influential and he is alone. He is water and he is bone. I'll try to save my judgement for you when everything is illuminated and everyone is beyond judgement. Would you do me the same favor?
Let me prove my humility for a momment and mention some non famous names who've tapped me out:
John from the Gracie Academy, my 14 year old brother Jonah, my friend Barry, my dad, my brother Zach, Ray, all the douche bags who made me quit the basketball team.....etc
this may diminish me somehow (this confession), but I am not finished. I will rebuild. You may one day consider me your friend, but don't pretend that you know the vastness of me and I won't you. The previous was a conflicting battle of the soul that's dead already and not what's on my mind right now. I'm not here so you can't grasp me. You can't even prove that I'm somewhere typing this...so how the fuck can you do anything about it? The goal of this message is not to shut you down, but to make you reconsider your criticism. I considered it before writing this funny message about a blue belt. If I really wanted one (a blue belt), I woulda sent in my videos to the Gracie Academy a long time ago.
:0
thanks man
I'm not worried about criticism. I welcome it. But firing back is my nature.
braaaaaaaah
Jon I also don't want you feel that I was calling you out. I wish yougood luck and look forward to see you at headquarters one day.
I on the other hand(a no belt) am calling you out ;p We've bin here from the beginning and you have repeatedly heckled me. I think its cause you dont register sarcasm well. The one time i called you out on asking the higher belts for advice was stupid and me lashing out for some previous post where i got butt hurt. Plus it was my first year and i knew everything.(You see the new guys cycle in too)
Truth is we're more alike than different, most of us regulars. No ill will at all to you because I KNOW your genuine. But yeah, I really wanna roll you. My moneys on me brah, humbly of course.
psht.. enough of this sissy calling out.. Eddie.. i want you. no more messing around.. I feel my white belt skills are finely tuned and ready. In fact, throw Royler in there too. You can both try to take me at once.. and not only that.. but i wont use my hands.. OR my legs.. in fact, i wont use anything, i'll even stand 20 feet away, and ill let you warm up by grappling each other. 100%, right in front of me (who is standing ringside for free), and after one of you win.. THEN.. i'll slowly pick up my mouth guard... put it in while i make sure to never stray from the intense staredown i am giving both of you.. crack my knuckles.. and then sprint as fast as i can the opposite direction.
Ok guys.....
I have abstained from the internet drama for some time now and I would like nothing more than to remain drama free.
I have shed all previous rank due to speculative lineage of my previous instructors. I have since started training in the gi to attain accredited rank with a strong lineage. I have started all the way from the beginning as it should be. I currently only claim the rank of two stripe white belt from Marcello C. Monteiro. I claim no 10th Planet belt or affiliation and I do not teach the techniques as our primary curriculum. The students that wish to touch on the methods that I am familiar with merely I endulge them.
BJJ drama is enough to make your head spin....
We run a bjj club as a community for grapplers to come in and develop their game in a low key stress free environment in order to help you forge your own game. I merely impart my knowledge as a method to help kick start the process. We do BJJ because we love it. I do not make money off of students so there is no bait and switch in order to make a buck. I tell every person who walks in the door about how we do things, my current rank and everything involved in that.
If anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. I have never had anything to hide. I have been guilty in the past of letting my pride and respect for my instructors get in the way of letting myself shed their rank after the years of hard work, but out of respect to the game, myself, and my students I washed my rank. My only goal is to attain a strong lineage BB from a respected BJJ black belt.
As for my friend Jon and his boastful comments.....
He is a very eager guy who really just wants to impress everyone. He has lofty goals for his bjj career and is very eager to achieve them. He is also very hard to read and comes across as a jerk sometimes when its not intended and this is compounded by the internet lol. He is a good guy who loves to train, is dedicated and is doing what he thinks is going to defend me.
I have mad respect for Ari Bolden and have never meant in anyway to do anything but support him and his ventures.
As for the website being down...
The web designer that we had previously had taken some liberties with the site that werent exactly approved or insisted upon by myself. He was another over-zealous student that thought he was doing the school a favor in order to help bring in more students which in turn only brought in more drama. It is down because I ordered it to be completely redone and done correctly. I am sorry for any misunderstandings or offenses.
AS for the calling out lol....
Jon has some serious balls to be stirring the pot like this and it has ruffled some feathers of the guys around here. He is a solid grappler with a good skill set and has a good chance to become a talented grappler. I suggest that he focus not on training victories bc they dont mean a thing and more on training so that he can earn some victories where they matter. Humilty is a sign of respect for those who have bled on the mat before you in order to get where they are today. Confidence is a good thing to have but dont let your pride get in the way of progress.
That being said if anyone would like to come into our gym in a friendly manner they are welcome if you are looking to bring drama then please don't bother. If you wish to contact me please feel free to do so at noah@summitcitysubmissions.com
Respectfully yours,
