I would suggest he speak with and get cleared by a doctor, not a bunch of guys on an internet forum.
What's a humerus?

I thought I knew but I looked it up and I was wrong.
he was cleared by a doctor in nov. it was a 1 year recovery. i was just woundering if anyone had had the same kind of prob. it was his right arm like were L1 is on that pic. hes been workin out again and is almost back to 100% hes bench pressing and all that.
how did he break it, its tough to break that.
yea he snapped it at the usa national arm wrestling comp. (i know armwrestling) he was right about to put the guy down and hit him with all he had and it just snapped. whats why i was wounderin if any one else had had a injury like this. like i said hes about 100% again with strength. jsut wounderin if it might be a prob when it comes to JJ
This thread isnt as humerus as I thought it would be...see what I did there?
ahahahahaah
Man I ain't no expert and i'm not dissin, but it seems you admire brute strength by your references to benchin and arm wrestling(damn he was pullin! spiral fracture?).
I would recommend rolling with as little strength as possible, as close to 100% tech as possible. Dont put your load bearing bones in a position to be under that much pressure, ever. I've seen people come back from horrific injuries through intelligence. He'll be fine if he's smart about it.
Definitely make sure the bone is fully healed and structurally sound.
Maybe just avoid doing kimuras and tell your training partner that bicep slicers are off limits.
i dont admire brute strength. my brother is only 135 and he was able to put down ppl who were 2x his size so he though he would try some comps. and did good at it tell he broke his arm . and bench press is how out train for that dumb ass sport.
