A similar incident has been around. Its connected to the hollow earth theory, and Nazis' fleeing there around the end of WW2. "Operation High Jump" conducted by the US navy in I believe was 1946 lead by Admiral Richard Byrde. Aliens know we exist if they have a base on Earth. We don't have a base on whatever Planet they're currently permanent residents of, so obviously they have an advantage!
