Darce choke from mount

Hey guys. I know the Japanese Necktie is the new talk of the town, but is anyone here familiar with finishing the Darce choke from the mount? Cobrinha was the first person I ever saw do it, and now Ryan Hall is big on it, and is killing guys with it. I've included a video. All you have to do is step over and post your head. It's almost impossible to be swept off or have your RNC grip broken, and your knees and head allow a triangle base that allows you to rip their head off with your squeeze.

Besides the Marce/Glover finish, this finish allows for the strongest squeeze. For those unfamiliar with the Marce finish that you often see Jeff Glover use, this is it:

Ah, finishing stepping into the mount, I see what you're saying now. I was going to say that none of those Darce's were set up from the mount.

I'll have to drill that, love going for darces.

Yes, if you're on top side, you step over. If you're doing the Marce finish, you do a back roll over your shoulders to mount.

I think i just heard my training partners cry as the lightbulb dinged above my head...

I like to skydive from the mount when I darce. It's very tight maybe not as tight as the tradition finish with the guy on his side but it's a great finishing option nonetheless.

Skydive? Can you explain? So you Darce, step over to mount, and then do something else?

Also, I saw Bollinger do it at the ADCC west coast trials. I;d love to hear his thoughts on it, as he's good with the Darce, the Marce, and all the variations.

I like that marce, I haven't seen it taught from there before. Some good stuff!!

I started doing this after seeing some competition footage of Ryan Hall doing it. It really allows you to put a lot of weight on his shoulder resulting in a quick tap. I've also found that I don't have to squeeze nearly as hard because I have so much more leverage from the mount.

That's what I like. You can rip their head clean off with the pressure and you don't even have to squeeze as hard. I try to keep my shoulder heavy on his as I step over. I posted a lot of competition footage in this thread already. Also, it's hard to get bucked off. A lot of people are getting swept with butterfly hooks from the top-side Darce position these days.

Sky dive is where you have mount with your feet crossed like guard and your knees off the mat....It's a very strong mount.

I'm having a hard time keeping my base in the skydive with the choke on unless I really post hard on my head, but when I do that it feels like my base isn't as strong to the sides and my arms are busy choking so I also have no posts. It works, but I feel more secure keeping one or both knees on the mat... at least when finishing the Darce/Brabo choke from the mount.

Any advice?

I believe finishing the darce from mount is by far the best way to finish! Even if I hit glover's marce, I try to roll the guy onto his back so i can finish in the mount.

Sick finish. Side note -- Ryan Hall jacks fools up with The Truck.

I try to take most of my chokes to mount if I can, darce, anaconda, guillotine arm in/out, triangle. Gravity is a friend.

What's sick is that you can finish it there or roll over and lock up a triangle from the bottom if you've got that kinda skill and put enough reps into it.

Never tried to finish it from the mount looks good.

A great way to finish it that I use a lot is kicking my leg over his body and turning yourself like you would for a japanese necktie. It adds a ton of pressure and you don't need to squeeze as much so it's sort of similar.

I'm a weakling, only way I can finish darce on guys with strong shoulder/neck is stepping to mount.
