ttt for Epstein and Marcelo!! :)
nice!
both good sportsmen
wow Marcelo is insane..... shows you how there is always someone to learn from!
awesome
Whoa, that was incredible :)
in one word "wow"
thanks for posting
That's some nice rolling. Looks like Einstein took a good one in the kisser. :)
Great roll. Now that's chutzpah!
Marcelo is so amazing. Einstein did a great job hanging in there with those chokes, especially that mounted guillotine. Usually people tap to Marcelo's guillotines instantly because they hurt so much. Same with the N/S choke. Some great transitions by both guys.
Marcelo never ceases to amaze me everytime I see him roll!
I like how when Marcello rolls, he plays quite open, but you can see that he has ZERO worry about getting passed & side mounted. I've only seen that happen to him once or twice. Its nearly impossible to get past his butterfly hooks. Footloose & fancy free.
Props for einstein great roll.
that put a smile on my face. wow.
wow does it let you watch the video if you're not a member?
Respect to Marcelo and Einstein. It's a treat to see two guys at such a high level have a friendly sparring session.
Marcelo Garcia is hands down the best guy in bjj he makes top level guys look like they just started training.
I think he's hand down the best no-gi player, but Roger Gracie is the best BJJ player out there. For the past 7 years he's won his weight class and secured either Gold or Silver in the Absolute Division of the World Championships. Not to mention in 09 and 10 choking everyone from the mount back-to-back 13 times in a row.
Marcelo's my favorite of all time though. For sure. He killed it at the Worlds in 2010. Did you see those back-to-back North/South chokes? He's gonna moonwalk through ADCC this year too, especially now that Pablo will probably have to fight up a weight class due to the new rules.
i'm really excited to see him tear everyone up
AND
how popovich fares against guys his size. i find he always has a size advantage and i want to see how good he is technically
Pablo usually does very well against guys bigger than him. He and Cyborg probably had the best year in 2010 as far as no-gi goes. Pablo is extremely technical and although he's a beast, he doesn't use it as a substitute for good BJJ. Case-in-point is the half guard pass he used to beat Marcelo Garcia. No strength was involved. Just perfect head-and-arm control with great leg-work.
You should check out his performance in the Absolute at the 2010 No-Gi Worlds.
The only complaint is that he can stall sometimes when he's real ahead on points, but he has a wicked RNC and his guard passing skills are ridiculous. He often passes the guard in a way that makes opponents expose their back. Very solid grappler and a great guy.
