: ) How many of us want our own dwarf planet? My advice would be, start laying down a foundation. We're starting a "Hotbox" in Orlando. I'm coming up with a lesson plan, so we don't look like a bunch of jackasses just rolling around. We've got Chris Herzog coming down in December, for a seminar and we're taking this thing very seriously. One of our guys has a competition in Oct and we're doing what we can to get him ready. I've been going gym to gym, frustrating dudes and creating a buzz. Another of our members just came back from 10th Planet Charlotte, where he learned a bunch and began building relationships. Just do it bro : )

Keep in mind that any of the the Affiliate coaches are authorized to teach mini-seminars at YOUR location. It is a great way to get the ball rolling at your current school. Now we're obviously not as desirable as Eddie, but we all have a great understanding of the system and are willing to help. What Neale said. Also, don't be afraid to e-mail, call, or in any way reach out to any of the moons. Nelson and I chat regularly, Neale, Kevin, Herzog, Ho and I chat and exchange ideas. Facebook is a great resource, so "friend" us. Louis, Herzog, and Myself are up in the NorthEast, Neale, and Jon are sort of the Southern area, and Kevin and I can get to the tri-state: NYC/NJ/MD areas pretty easily. If you need help, ask, and have one of us down. We all know the system (obviously) but also draw on years of experience in other arts as well. Herzog has an excellent Sambo and Judo background, I've got a Catch and Judo background, Neale has a ton of BJJ, and Kevin is just Death on two feet. So ....the point is-you have extended resources close by, so don't hesitate. Ari, Chris H. Denny, and several others were EXTREMELY helpful when I was starting the process. We just pass it forward.
I thought the only requirment was a picture of eddie with his arm around you and your own web site... :)

John is right. We are all family here. The only way I've been able to develop being away from a 10th planet gym is through the conversations with the instructors. John has been extremely helpful, especially being a jkd guy, he knows exactly what I go through in the gym. Botello aka master yoda has also been very helpful. Being away from a gym you can still develop by tayloring your style with the help of instructors similar to yourself. I'm 5'6" 149 and a life long jkd student. Botello has my back with the small guy stuff, Roderick has my back with the transitions from jkd to 10th Planet. I'm the best jiu jitsu practitioner in my gym and I wouldn't be there without the help of 10th Planet.
