How many nubirus still drinking fluoridated water?

As a Denturist I believed fluoride was good for you until I started to do some research for myself. The fluoride they put in the water is actually the waste product of aluminum plants and fertilizer companies, sodium fluoride. Calcium fluoride is natural but this is not what they are putting in the water.

Hypothyroidism, cancers, diminished IQs, just to name a few hazards. If you look on your tube of toothpaste it will advise you to call the poison control center if swallowed. So why are we drinking it? Especially when it accumulates in the body.

I try not to n take as much b.s. water as possable. What would you say the best toothpast to use and water to drink.I use toms toothpaste.

i drink water straight from the tap pretty much all day long.

If you go to a vitamin store you can buy toothpaste without the fluoride. We use Natures Gate natural toothpaste. However you can just use baking soda, taste like crap but keeps breath fresh and teeth white.

And as for water, we use culligan, just read the labels on the front where it says fluoride ppm, make sure it says zero or no fluoride. They are fluoridating bottled water like crazy, I believe Dasani does not fluoridate but read the label to make sure.

They just recently decided to stop putting fluoride in Calgary water supply I'm hoping they do it soon here. I try to drink waterthat says 0ppm fluoride...very rarely Tap!

I wrote a letter to the local MP about fluoride because in NZ the water is treated with fluoride, he sent me some letters from the dentist and doctor associations saying that drinking fluoride was safe and all and they were not looking into changing anything about it. Funny thing is that he mentioned that I wasn't the first one having concerns about it...
It's near impossible to find filtering system around that takes fluoride off water. Most of them do have a stamp saying Teeth friendly lol. I'd rather be in charge of medicating myself... Yes I said medication because fluoride is in Europe classified as medication. I think that's how Germany stopped using fluoride, people complained about being mass medicated and it was their choice to use fluoride or not.
I totally agree with that! we should have to have a say about it. They are pretty much poisoning us :(

To each his own. Countries that don't have their water treated/fluoridated usually don't get the luxury of being able to safely drink their own tap water without high risk of parasite infection. LMFAO!!! Do you know that the American Cancer Society is the largest "non-profit" in the world. It only spends approx. 10% of donations to cancer treatment research.... They have one of the highest paying CEO's, not to mention the board members....
They are getting rich off of cancer, so why would they ever be trying to eliminate it? The Cancer Industry has created it's own economy/business market that is and will continue to flourish. It is pretty much public record, but you have to look for it. Most "non-profits" operate this way, it is very sad, but also very true!

think of it this way, sodium flouride is the main ingredient of rat poison. if i gave you a perfect glass of fresh water and you watched me drop a few grains of rat poison in it and told you that its good for your teeth would you still drink it?

keep in mind flouride is in your toothpaste, you drink it, you cook with it, you bathe in it... you are being over exposed to it. google images of flourosis, its pretty insane that our kids at the most critical times of their developmental stages are being overexposed to toxic and harmful chemicals in tiny doses over time so it becomes difficult to pinpoint the culprit.

Or you could think of it this way, Warfarin IS rat poison and millions of people take it every day... if they dont.. they die.

Check out the study of the effect of Fluoride on the Pineal gland in animals. It seems to stimulate the early onset of puperty in them.

I don't know for sure that it's toxic/unhealthy/etc but, to me, this is one of those "pick and choose my battles" issues. The air quality where I live is like a nuclear haze for several months a year and while I hydrate from non-fluoridated sources in addition to my tap water, I can't help but breath the air around me. In other words, I'm more worried about air quality and affecting change there than convincing "authorities" to stop fluoridating water (though I must admit I find the undertones of fluoride conspiracy theory fascinating). I do *wish* I had the choice to medicate with fluoride, but *wishing* is as far as I'm going to go to change things...

That's my sentiment, too. I think those concerned with fluoride will say to you that excessive alcohol, high fat diets, sedentary lifestyle, etc are lifestyle choices (though not so much car emmisions) and health effects can be mitigated by avoiding those things. This is contrary to a "government" mandate of added fluoride for the bulk of the public potable water supply.

Fluoride has been found to cause the brain to become docile in large doses. Many cities have stopped putting it in the water, mine just did.
Tap water is better for the environment than bottled water (most bottled water is from the tap anyway) but if you can avoid Fluoride I suggest it

Anyhow, if you want to drink fluoride go ahead, but the rest of us should be able to choose for ourselves. Many cannot afford to get the filters for our taps, or drink bottled water all the time. Speak out, write to your govenors, city councel, they many not even be aware of the problem and are drinking this crap too!

To argue for the case of those who are anti-fluoridated water, I do believe they have the right to cheap access to it if they want it. It's gotta be cost effective. Maybe a city government program to subsidize cheap or free for those of lower income brackets which supplies supplemental water filters.

Hold up, I just put time and effort on a jiu-jitsu forum for possible government solutions to health issues. I feel so derailed right now. Damn me and my social issue awareness side of me. Just so ya know, the Philippines has non-fluoridated water, and we have some of the best damn egg rolls you've ever had over there, among other things.
