Hey guys, I'm just wondering how to move my hips inside of rubber guard to get at an angle. When I'm in chill dawg im trying to get on my right hip (rubber guard with my left leg) but to go to the invisible collar I feel like I should be on my left hip. can anyone help me out here?

You should be on your right hip if you're in chill dog or invisible collar with you left leg. I may be wrong though.
That's what I thought but honestly I don't know. It seems like it makes more sense to be on the left hip because then the right leg will be able to swing up really easy.Quote:

The whole point of that basic RG series is to dominate the one arm (his right arm in the case of your left leg being used). So your focus needs to be on control on that side, which involves being on your right hip. If that control is very tight, you can use it to shift either his weight or yours to make the right leg more mobile. Otherwise, you will get the right leg over, but then wonder why he just slips out easily right away. It's because your don't have his right side dominated. Emphasize and tighten your left leg's control, and use that to get the right leg where your need it.
