Tonight, Master Eddie Bravo promoted Bryan "Drogo" Drogmund to Brown Belt at his memorial service.
There has never been a more deserving promotion as Drog inspired us every day with his dedication, selflessness, and positive spirit. He set the highest standard as a true friend and teammate.
Bryan Drogmund will be truly missed, and never forgotten.
I still can't believe it :(

Great great guy. Always super positive, supportive and encouraging. One of those people that leaves a lasting impression when you meet him due to his positive energy. I'll def. miss him and classes for me won't be quite the same without him. Very sorry I couldn't make it down for his services. Rest in peace and watch over us all.

I've always viewed Tenth Planet as more of an exceptionally violent fraternity than a family but, yes, it felt like family at the memorial. I know it did his natural family a world of good to see such a large, not to mention unexpected, turnout. Indrani, his wife, told his family to expect five to eight people from Tenth Planet; there were 20 to 30 of us, including welcome faces that hadn't been around for quite a while. Having so many of my Tenth Planet family there absolutely helped mitigate my own grief.Quote:

i wish i could have seen you get promoted in person, and i wish you could have been there to see me get promoted. you were my training partner for 7 years. i thought about you all on my ride home, and i still think about you every time i walk in the gym. i miss you.
He was the absolute nicest and kindest person at 10thplanet. No matter how bad or how miserable I was he was always really kind to me and unconditionally generous without exceptions. A truly beloved person. I am privileged to know him, and If I can be even half as good a person as he was, I will feel blessed.
