well you know they want to put linux on it so folks can customized the crap out of it...it's generally harmless. However, sony kows if they allow or support it they would have a crap load of problems with kids bricking their systems and expecting sony to fix it. The reason it has a locked in interface is so they will not have more problems to fix, not because they are somehow against freedome and power to the players.
yeah they got rid of the linux capability ages ago, so only people who did it before can have it. but it was the same update that gave us the 3D Blu-ray player, so worth it :D

LOL! When this happened, I couldn't sign in. I thought I had to go re-accept the "new" terms of service. I was getting pissed because I couldn't find where they were on the desktop & then I finally went online & saw that the PSN was down. yeah i used to play all the time, lately only a couple of hours every few nights when im in the mood. black ops is getting old, but i cant find the drive to play anything else, maybe some bad company 2. cant wait till it comes back, PSN have always been pretty useless, but this is just ridiculous. they should have better security already so that they dont get hacked like this again. especially when Anonymous warned them that they were gonna attack the network ages before they did.
You should play Killzone, I personally think Killzone is the best FPS on the PS3. This break is only tough because I let my friend borrow my 360 as long as possible & on that, I not only had shooter games but I had all the Fable games. The only game on the PS3 that I have that isn't a FPS is Grand Theft Auto IV.Quote:

If you had a PSN account you may want to change any other online passwords that were similar or the same. Sony just announced that account information was indeed stolen.
