sometimes this makes me think that they do it for publicity not because they really want to be a mma fighter
I think he did it because he enjoys it. He'd probably never make it big as a pro fighter, because he's got such a major weakness. But it takes balls for a guy to do that.

I would think in this era most people who are missing limbs are veterans. Most of these vets still have a tremendous amount of fight left in them. He probably does it just to prove he can.

Everybody has a right to their opinion, we both exercise the shit out of that. Your naivety is sometimes annoying too say the least though.
My brother is an amputee and he just wanted to play. Not any special attention or to be an inspiration or any of that shit. Just to be seen as a normal dude, which he is. And he was also pretty damn good at everything so why not. Seriously, would you sit on the side lines during your one precious life and watch everyone else have fun? Attitudes like yours made his life way harder than it needed to be so I took it upon myself to share with you what his(as well as my) opinion would be. I know your young and mean no harm and I have no personal vendetta against you, but when you speak so confidently without life experience it can bite you in the ass sometimes.
Other time I called you out was when you say things that really dont need to be said. Who gives a shit who would win a hypothetical grappling match or fight? Kinda makes us look bad to others who might visit the forum, so sometimes I just say my piece. (which many other cats politely refrain from doing). I have a problem when most people judge or generalize anything.
Glad you found 10p and I hope you take it with you the rest of your life. Seems like you got the fever and thats a good thing, but just realize that the more you learn about mma and jj the more you realize you dont know shit. If I said these things in person they wouldnt sound near as harsh.

goes to show......u cant under estimate anyone. :-) for anyone wondering,semi pro means no head strikes when it goes to ground a think,at least in the u.k.-not sure about the u.s. though.
