Nick Diaz vs GSP

Looking at this fight, Nick is gonna fair a lot better than Jake. I still think it's GSP's fight to lose but Nick could easily piss GSP off more than Kos did and that would be huge. The only way I see George winning this fight is by getting the takedown and just pinning Nick to the mat. It would be the most boring fight ever but George would get the decision. Other than that, I think Nick could pick apart George in the stand up department and I also give Nick a slight edge in Jiu Jitsu as well. Either way, we know the fight is gonna happen and I can't wait to see it. Dare I say 209???

Basically, GSP would have to take a risk to win. If he fights not to lose, Nick is going to tear him apart. Nick will push the pace so GSP will have to either be more agressive than him or turtle. I guess he could do a Kosheck and wrestle-hump him but I really think that Nick would be prepared for that and GSP does realize that if he doesn't start taking some risks he's going to start getting criticized by Dana publicly.

I think he admits he trains harder and fights harder when he's against a trash talker. Serra, Penn, Hardy, They all got it pretty bad at fight time.

I don't think anything can take gsp off of his gameplan once in the ring.. so diaz isn't going to be able to bait him into anything. The one thing I think people can give gsp credit for is being a gameplan master when it comes to following his to the letter in every fight.

sure he has better boxing but thats it!!! Nick has lost b4 to bigger and stronger wrestlers
he wont sub gsp, prob wont take him down since jake couldnt
so he only has a punchers chance
and gsp has good enough stand up to not get kod
and pre fight shit talking wont work
just ask koscheck if that helped him

As much as GSP's been pissing me off for boring me almost as bad as fitch does, I know that GSP's too good a fighter for Nick Diaz. GSP is not Daley. GSP's not Cyborg. He's not Gomi or Sakurai. He's smarter, faster, and stronger. GSP would counter Nick's pitty pat punching flurries with takedowns and stand up out of guard to avoid Nick's guard game. And if Nick paces himself, GSP's counterpunching will pick him apart. Then he'd rinse and repeat for 5 rounds to get another boring decision.

Nick's boxing isn't as good as you guys think. He take punches to give them. That's not exactly good boxing material. Have you seen the video of him sparring a pro boxer? Dude looked horrible!

Nick's REAL chance is to out CARDIO GSP. Honestly. Nick is a triathlete. He doesn't get tired. That's why he beats a lot of guys. He pushes the pace until the other guy gets tired then he wears them down until he gets a TKO or sub. GSP's cardio is great, but he's never been tested at full blast for 5 rounds. Nick could just keep going and going and going. Flurries. Guard attacks. Flurries. Guard attacks. Take down attempts. Sub attempts. This is gonna make GSP play defense until we see if GSP can keep up. Then I can see Nick rallying from behind for a TKO or sub. That's if GSP doesn't turtle hump him to decision. I see that happening more than Nick winning.

"Don't be scared, Homie."
If GSP fights Nick, he will lose. He has to hump Nick to a decision.

I didn't believe in those fucking pitty pat punches till my fucking boxing coach showed me how much they hurt when he predicted that daley would get knocked out by nick standing in the 1st round. The guys fucking with us....the daley fight showed me how well that dude executes a gameplan and the most brutal shots to the body I have seen in an mma fight in a while.

I think GSP can beat Nick....if he takes the risk of trying to beat him and not lose. Nick has shown that he fights HIS gameplan no matter who he is in the ring with. Daley knocked the shit out of him...as predicted...but he still won the fight on his feet and actually made daley shoot for a takedown because he was getting destroyed on his feet.

Nick will make GSP fight. I think that GSP might be better than Nick on his feet, but nick is going to come at him.

If GSP uses his wrestling to pin Nick to the mat, he'll win all 5 rounds. If he actually tries to fight Diaz and beat Diaz at his own game, Nick will knock GSP out.
