He was respectful with his responses. That was surprising. Little by little, step by step ;)
I have heard this exact response at least a dozen times from different bb's.
His demo at the end looked kinda loose at the end without the gi.
I know he could stomp me with or without it.
just don't understand why people say Eddie does not give credit where credit is due? If you don't know for sure you should not say things like that.
Popovitch think's different than Comprido about technique's gi and nogi!

You can't mess with my Hubberband Gward.

Cool video. Nothing like discrediting somebody in a nice way. Those guys are only a half hour from me. Maybe I'm jaded from all the bad experiences at comp with those guys. Not Comprido though. But the Chicago scene everyone hates everyone. Its a shame.
I agree.....Chicago got lot of haters but one thing i can say and probably have josh agree with me is that Comprido is no joke.....i trained at Flo a bunch of times and this guy is beyond legit...i think it was in the corner of Leo Veria when Eddie lost...but the guy is mad cool
Comprido is legit. He's a insane Gi guy but I have never seen any of his nogi but I would assume it's on point being a 7 time world champ.
I thought he was pretty respectful.
Lol. It's an accent.
Comprido is a super cool guy, always wanting to share his knowledge
Odd how people say Eddie acts like he invented moves. Comprido says the Twister is an old wrestling move. Eddie made that clear in his book and DVD. He didn't take credit for inventing it. Many of the moves in his books are named after the people who invented them and others are attributed to their creators in the text accompanying the moves. I really don't know how Eddie got tagged with this "taking credit for moves" thing... Eddie even credits little things like the "Marcelo stance".
The core problem I think would be ego. It's hard for some to accept that maybe, just maybe, a small, Mexi-American stoner might have the one of the keys to expanding and evolving jiu jitsu. I don't think this would at all ever have been a controversy if Eddie was born Eddie Gracie, or even Eddie Machado. And don't get me wrong, respect the Gracies greatly. Very few families can say they've contributed so much to the martial arts the way the Gracies have.
