I just posted this video of Braulio Estima demonstrating a counter to the double under pass. He finishes with a sweet straight arm lock that he does a great job explaining but there is a Triangle right there too !
This goes good a submission I came up with when I was at HQ that I call the Right Angle.

Couldn't you get an omaplata there too? Or at least get to Jiu Claw? Or am I seeing it wrong?
It seems like you should be able to get the omo or claw but I've never been able to figure out how to pull it off. I always went to the submission I call the Right Angle but I will definately add Braulio's tekk to my game.Quote:

I think the detail for finishing the inverted armbar is just as cool as the setup there is lots of other ways to end up with that armbar and think could it definatly raise the finishing precentage. I know of a butterfly sweep that when countered can land you in that armbar position. You could end up with that armbar in the prison guard transition I think. Cool stuff! good post Jason!

Hey Heidi,
I was thinking about the omo/claw and I realized that once you kick your leg past their arm you can go omo/claw in addition to the Triangle and Straight Armbar that Braulio demostrates. Kicking the leg past was the piece that I was missing in the past.

Rhassan taught that at Burbank last year - I haven't had someone use double-unders on me since. Fricken awesome stop. The submission is much lower % for me.
I just did this rolling tonight. Works like a charm. Plus the triangle is there if the armbar fails.
I hear ya Scott. The Right Angle submission is kinda like Invisible Collar. You have to have the right squeeze and the angles down in order to get the tap. Even if you can't pull off the sub it is a good control position to prevent the pass and with Braulio's tekk it is a path straight to a Triangle.Quote:
