What 10th planet tech do you use the best/ how is your wrestling?

H This is a two part thread, title says it all. Myout out half guard lockdown game is by far my go to positon when I find myself on bottom. I recently drove out to 10th planet sherman for a session and michael west did alot of polishing on my whole game but the half and coccoon guards seemed to be my strong points.

As for my wrestling, its getting there but I'm no dan gable. My wrestling friends have been training out my bad habits and fixed my stance so I have more balance and this has been huge in making my grappling better. Please share your comments I would love to know what everyone excels at

Either the stomp, jailbreak, swim move or the croc. My wrestling needs a bit of work as well, my shot in particular. I'm not half bad against the cage wall and can get decent takedowns/trips but not in the open mat as much. I've pulled a lot of guard in the past but trying to get my wrestling better.

I've been hitting the Duda a lot lately in practice. As far as wrestling goes my main obstacle was getting the confidence to shoot. I'm 6'4 200lbs and smaller than most of the guys that I train with. So getting sprawled on by big Isaac (6'5 260) started to form a fairly large mental hurdle for me to overcome.

However, the reason I was getting sprawled on was because I was so timid to shoot on such a large opponent. When I began committing fully to the shot I got him a few times. Since then my shot has been getting better.

In the end I feel I will ALWAYS be a guard player. Not because of my lack of wrestling, I just love the guard.

Yeah, meathook is usually my second go to option.

Transitioning to the truck anywhere but side control. Twister side to mount. Gangsta lean to triangle. Pump armbar to toss.

And my wrestling is coming along pretty well. We focus a lot on the standing game at my gym.

My go to standing techniques : Arm drag to back toss, Russian 2 on 1 to back toss, run the pipe single leg, ankle pick, snap down to sprawl.

and i havent been able to use any of my techniques cuz i get murdered by my rolling partners so i cant pull guard or anything

It depends on who I'm grappling on what techs I use. I use most of the books and much of mts every day.

As long as you have never wrestled before, I can kinda wrestle. My counter wrestlin is best.

I try to use my rubber gaurd as a last resrort if the opponet wants nothing to do with my lock down and electic chair set up. Most of the time I hit this sweep and there is no need to pull my rubber. My most affective take downs are off a clinch set up. I am able to shoot in and get take downs from the out side but I find it anoying having to battle so much and struggle for a take down. I think this is what I was suppost to write.
