Pulling guard :P
I fall into triangles all the time.
Besides pulling guard do you have any go to techniques to get the fight to the ground
well my wrestling and judo are pretty underdeveloped at this point, but i usually do simple duck unders and some judo throw that i dont know the name of haha.
lol whatever works i cant hate
I like judo style throws and sweeps better.
The reason is I am not as strong as most people my weight and so getting under their weight in a double or single isn't my first choice. I rather use leverage and technique to sweep or throw.
I still use traditional wrestling takedowns, just not as much.
Double leg outside trip, if they somehow sprawl the leg I'm tripping back go straight to deep half sweeps. Thats my go to while practicing take downs. In competition its pull guard.
Judo takes forever to get really good at but it looks way more awesome in a bar fight.
Iv gota say wrestling, its a bitch to train but it cool when you get good at it, arm drags and single legs personaly i favour.
Judo is more fun for me, but also more painful!
i know a blackbelt in judo that is transitioning to BJJ, he has great ground game but ive seen him taken down easily with
single and double legs and ankle picks.
The style of aiki jiujitsu I train in focus's heavy on throws but not in the traditional judo sense working more from the clinch. I love how Jon Jones attacks from the collar tie that osoto gari sweep is sweet ( don't know the wrestling term). I'm surprised more greco guys like Hendo and Couture dont use those sweeps and throws.
I think wrestling, but just because the takedowns are fast and direct, and as you can see with most people in MMA, its hard to defend takedowns.
Not to say that one is better than the other, I think you should know both but here is a clip of some kid Seoi Nage-ing the crap out of another kid in a wrestling match.

That is also a throw taught in wrestling. It's just called and arm throw.
Yeah, I know but this kid trains in Judo. There's a whole backstory via the comments on youtube.
Thanks for all the replies this is the first time i forumed in my life kind of addicting.
Haha. I hear ya. I was the same way. I love this site. It's the only place I take part in the forums.
Btw, I am a wrestler and I go for single leg takedowns mostly, but you have to be very careful of guillotines. And if you can't get the takedown you can pull half guard or deep half.
Greco Roman Clinch to takedown usually a sweep.
I do this kind of inside leg trip thing... don't know what it's called, but I saw some guy do it in competition videos like 3 times. It looked like a shitty football tackle (and I can do a shitty football tackle) so I gave it a shot. I hit it in wrestling class on some guys that I usually can't take down and ended up liking it. Still haven't tried that in competition. In comps I usually try to make contact and then drop underneath for butterfly or some kind of guard. If they shoot on me I try to snatch 100% and get a sweep.
If you are doing BJJ with a gi then I would say study Judo but if you are doing No-Gi Grappling then go with Wrestling.
