Wow damn
This is Bullshit!!! This what happens when you give idiots authority... And were the cops really fat???? Come on...
Actually, if you review the law, what they were doing or attempting to do has been outlawed in locations such as this.
Which makes the law completely justified. Right? Where is the justice in assaulting a nonviolent asshole? If they had clubs, chains, and molitav cocktails on standby, sure. But the old couple rocking back and forth like we all do when our girl looks cute? That provoked it. No clue why they where rockin the boat though.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah if only the retard would have just obeyed the perfectly good law that wouldnt have happened now would it have?
and another thing
the assholes just had to piss the cop off more when they were warned tons and were also told why they cant do it
and who the fuck dances in a memorial anyways?
they deserved it..asshats
I think it's a little crazy locking up someone for dancing or PDF. Sure maybe it was out of place dancing at a Memorial but was there really the need to arrest these people? Then to pick someone up and slam them for dancing? LOL Wow...
They didn't get locked up for dancing. They got a warning for dancing. They got locked up for disorderly conduct.
"Disorderly conduct offenses vary widely by state. Here are some of the most common acts that are considered disorderly conduct offenses:
Public drunkenness
Inciting a riot
disturbance of the peace
loitering in certain areas
fighting / physical altercations
obstructing traffic
use of extremely obscene or abusive language
loud or unreasonable noise
etc...
Given the wide range of behaviors that could constitute disorderly conduct, a person may be arrested for this crime without proper cause. Virtually any socially offensive or disruptive conduct may be prosecuted as disorderly conduct.
Good points!!
They were warned....whether it's a stupid rule or not, it's obvious they wanted to get arrested.
were they dancing at first? what was the initial warning laid down for?
Adam vs The Man is all about challenging authority. They knew it was a law/rule and they knew exactly what they needed to do. When you challenge authority, authority always accepts the challenge. It's not like the officer is going to say "Yes it is a stupid law so I won't enforce it". He's just doing his job. It's like yelling fire in a crowded place; if you're told to stop, you can't pull the 1st amendment card, it's a law and they will shut you up.
We don't have to agree with the law to follow it. Do some research on Code Pink to see what they represent. If the law allowed anyone to demonstrate, then the demonstrations at public locations such as this could get out of hand and dangerous.
Good question. I'd guess try and keep it out of ear shot of the cop. If not, I'd hold it and make a rush for the bathroom. Even if a few sneak out you'll show good intent by trying to get to the bathroom. Most-likely the cop will look the other way in that case.
If you can't hear the farts though, it's just a crop dusting. No one will really know who it is if you don't say anything. Work on your crop dusting skills. Try to pass by a fat dude who you think it will easily be blamed on. You know at some point he ate chilli that day. Especially if you're with a chic. Easy way out.
Anyone who would defend those police is insane.
The little one that was yelling "Stop resisting" was practically foaming at the mouth.
The court's have already decided in favor of the police officers (Oberwetter v. Hilliard) so I guess the district courts are insane too.
So you're saying you saw the police officer use restraint and better judgement? He was able to put aside his personal beliefs and emotions to conduct his duties, and meet the force presented to him with force of just enough to overcome the opposition?
I agree with you.
Cops dont make the laws, its there job to enforce stupid laws weither they like it or not. The cop at first seemed sincere he warned everyone that it was against the law to act retarded at the memorial...then when the other couple started dancing in front of him after the warning he looked at them and said "guys, please stop" gave them a few seconds and then started arresting people.
Yeah if they had been mature and just ignored that couple swaying together it might've turned into a full fledged dancing with the stars.
The people were there protesting. Not sure what since they cut the video so we didn't see what they were doing beforehand, but it was enough of a disturbance for the police to be called. It was obvious by their behavior that their goal was to get "beat up" by the police on video. When the officer explained what they aren't allowed to do, they did it. When the officer's made the arrest, they resisted. They didn't swing, but pulling away is resisting. If an officer uses a low level of force, and is met with resistance, he is allowed to raise the level of force. Instead of striking them, using a baton, pepper spray, or taser, the officers took them to the ground and handcuffed them. I understand that some people just have a dislike for the police, and the rules they enforce, but this was not a case of police brutalilty.
pretty bizarre if you ask me. definitely shouldn't be a law, really stupid. I'm pretty sure this isn't what our founding fathers had in mind when they created a free society.
don't blame the cops though, they're just doing their job.
I agree with the law that prevents demonstrations in public areas, especially those that draw tourists. If demonstrations were allowed in these areas, it would increase the difficulty in protecting citizens from those who have nefarious goals.
