I be in Colorado. I've been training the last two years at Grudge Training Center, although the last year has very sporadic because of school and other reasons. From what I remember while I was down in the Springs there are a handful of gyms. The one that I went was called Colorado Fight Factory. I think that they changed names though to Colorado Fight Co or something similar. Last I heard that's where Cameron Dollar and his crew are at now. Not sure if they are 10th Planet friendly though.
I'm super green when it comes to Eddie's system other than what I've picked up from watching fights on tv, but I'd love to get at least some kind of hotbox thing going on at some point. If/when you move back to Colorado are you for sure going to be down in the Springs? Either way... when you do get back out this way give myself and the other guys out here a heads up. I imagine that we'll be at least a little bit more organized in terms of where everyone is at, and where we can get together to train.
I think there was a Colorado thread a while back. I'll have to find it. I could start up a Hotbox in Colorado, sure, but Brandon can tell you, it's a lot of work. Thankfully Zog is a good teacher. There is a Machado affiliate in the Springs but the Gi doesn't like me. Hmmm...

you can't beat the high altitude and the good competition i've lived in vail for 17 years now and wouldn't trade it for anything we have a small school up here but a blackbelt from brazil who kicks our ass down in the "city" ie denver and co springs there are tons of places come on up anytime all are welcome my instructor talks shit about the system sometimes but i drill and train 10th planet and nogi all the time
Hopefully all goes well. I can't wait to get back. I need a good altitude ass kicking lol.

I believe there is a Machado affiliate school there in Colorado Springs.

Ian is in boulder training at Easton BJJ as far as I know. Finnie,Roy and Grant are good guys. Grant is super technical. Maybe next year you'll see me at Pan Ams too, I'll be the one getting throttled on!Quote:

There was a thread a while back about people meeting up to drill some techniques. I haven't had time to investigate but it sounds like a good idea. I need time to just drill this system and when other people aren't focused on it it's hard to practice. We don't focus so much on it at my school so during randori @ 100% I have to try out all the moves for the first time. I find it difficult that way ;)
Denver is my favorite city in Colorado, but other people really like their towns as well. Lots of different options.
If anyone wants to get together in Boulder and train let me know, I have mat space available and am willing to go roll/drill almost anytime
So... I checked with some people on campus and there's a room that we can reserve downtown at UC Denver. Only thing is we would have to supply our own mats. Not sure how many people are interested exactly, but if you are... definitely let me know what day(s) and time(s) you'd be able to meet up so that we can start getting this thing organized.

Right on man. So far I've never been southwest of Pueblo, but if I end up heading that way for some reason I'll for sure give you a heads up man. I can't make the same offer at my gym yet because I'm not sure where they stand as far as the Gracie politics are concerned, but if you are ever going to be up in Denver for sure let me know and we'll figure something out if you're wanting to train.
