I tried for nearly 2 months to find a small closet space building for rent. Well, today I locked down 5,000 sq ft warehouse with an additional 3 offices, 25 ft celings, showers, and so much more! M.M.A or Madtown Martial Arts is gonna give both adults and children a new jiu jitsu family in Monroe county Tennessee. I'd enjoy hearing tips, info, advice etc. from the 10th planet family.
Congrats Tony. I'll have to swing by Madisonville next time I'm driving down to Charlotte.
It would be quite an honor to roll. Hopefully the grand opening will be in March complete with a shiny new baby as well lol. My dream is for a moon, gotta get to hustelin though!
Awesome! congrats brotha, 5000 sq feet is no joke. Up until June, 10th Planet Rochester was located in a 2000 sq ft building for 5 years!

If you have more than one instructor you could pad one of the offices to give private instruction to someone while the regular class is going on. Obviously you should make one of the offices an office to manage your Jiu-Jitsu school. Good luck with your business :)

That's a good idea, thank you. With that much mat area already though, I'm leaning towards the main office overseeing the entire floor as the lounge area. This would be for parents and others to watch and relax. The second smaller office for the game room with a wii, 360, and ps3. The third office for a children's area and babysitting. There's still room left for a pro shop with merchandise and an energy bar with proper jitz energy (no sugar laden junk). I'd like to see ropes all over also! I beleive like Galvao's school. I'm not quite sure how the hotbox regulations would work though, being nonprofit. I could just have free classes for the 10th planet practice. Would that be acceptable Coach Herzog? Careful with the game consoles. Things could go missing. I would buy like old PS1's and Gamecubes. That way the loss wouldnt be that great. And kids have fun no matter what they play.Congrats on the space.

Got a few jiu jitsu hooligans filtering in. The loss of my full time job yesterday has me questioning a full time school. I just wish I had an advertising budget. Looks like eviction and moving next week :-(.
