His new show, Louie, is the shit....I fucking love it.
I laughed the hardest at Ricky Gervais... When he read the story book of Noah and the ark from his childhood lol
The "Death Squad" Rogan,Diaz,Shaffir! Dov Davidoff is aweso
me too
I like Joe Rogan and his podcasts are great, but i dont find him funny at all. If he told a joke in my company, i wud feel like i'd have to give him a courtesy laugh... and i hate havin to fake a laugh. Dont find Diaz funny either and dont even know the other 2 guys.
But hey, to each their own! ;)
Mitch Hedburg, Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran and Tim Minchin are four of my favourites. I would have mentioned Joe Rogan, but everyone on the forum already knows about Joe.

I'm slightly annoyed he hasn't been mentioned but here's a link to a George Carlin video, the greatest stand- up comedian of all time bar none R.I.P

P.S How do I post videos to this site?
Russel Peters
Dave Chappelle
Eddie Murphy in "Raw" and "Delirious"
Joe Hogan
George Carlin *he's amazing because he has funny clean humor and funny dirty humor. That is hard to pull off*
I can't say Carlin is the only #1 cuz I feel like Richard Pryor was his equal although they reached a different demographic. It was like they were the same comic, but in different skin colors. To me, they are both equally the GOAT.
But even still, if I could narrow it down, my personal favorite still remains Mitch Hedberg. He was incredibly unique, distinct, and obscure. But I'm drawn to dry humor, so yeah. My girl hates him.
IMO, Dave Chappelle is this generation's Richard Pryor. I wish he was back on the air with anything. Stand up. Sketch comedy. Dude is hilarious.
Daniel Tosh is on his way up too. I love his structure and delivery. Tons of misdirection. Heaps of sarcasm. Crowd participation. His stage presence/character is great. If you have netflix, check his stand up.

Gabriel Iglesias is also one of my fav's. He is a cool dude and posts a shit ton on his comedy for free on you tube. I'm thinking about sending him a thank you cake.
I can't believe Doug Stanhope isn't on this thread yet.

you might laugh the most at his accent. i pissed myself when i first listened to him.
btw, i dont have a problem with religious people.
I've been on a serious stand-up comedy run for almost a year now. There are so many amazing guys out there, that it's hard to pick a few to list. However...
Great Comedians:
Joe Rogan - Watch his live special from '05 or '06. It's brilliantly thought out, hilarious, and honestly one of the best stand-ups I have seen.
Brian Regan - How do stay that funny all the time and never curse or say anything that couldn't be said in front of a grandparent or child? He's amazing. Watch or listen to "Stupid in School" and "lousy in Little League" (about 5 mins each). Then watch your next 6 hours waste away as you download clips.
Louis CK - see above, he's awesome
Lewis Black - If you can handle his intensity, the guy is awesome
Ron White - I hate the blue collar tour with a passion, but Ron's original stand up was priceless and consistent.
Dennis Leary - Believe it or not, I am putting him on here. Forget about "No Cure for Cancer" and go find "Lock and Load". The first 15 minutes are terrible because he is on way too much coke, but once he relaxes it is priceless.
I'm missing a ton more.
Newer Guys, and ones I have seen on Comedy Central Presents:
Dov Davidoff - Amazing, insane, and if you can find his older ones, even better
Hari Kondabolu - Looks not funny, but has great material. "What kind of a family needs a hybrid SUV? Well, I am an environmentalist, and my husband is a giant douchebag."
Billy Gardner
Nate Bargatze
Josh Sneed
More to come when I remember them, but these guys are all great
Oh! If you enjoy musical comedy, Jon Lajoie (Taco on The League), Steven Lynch, Dimitri Martin...
