LOL let's not get ahead of ourselves now.
Or he can fight the best lhw alive
Tito
I remember this guy getting murdered by anderson silva
Losing a decision to rampage jackson and also Jake shields and wanderlei
Lol he will nvr get the belt at lhw
Um the mw defense fight when anderson took hendo down in the 2nd round and murdered him in the stand up
Round 1 was anderson letting dan get some confidence so he can crush all of it in the 2nd
Hendo had to leave the ufc to become a champion again.
When the UFC absorbs Strikeforce we might get an undisputed title fight but I don't see Hendo (are any one else for that matter) stopping Jones just yet.
Word. I think if Hendo came back to the UFC, he wouldn't be champ. Going down means facing anderson. He doesn't want that. LOL. Staying at LHW means facing Jones. I don't see him doing well on that either. Jones is bigger than Rampage. And Rampage is bigger than Hendo. That means Jones is WAY bigger than Hendo. And at this point in MMA, we have to admit that size is a factor.
No i was saying he got smashed by anderson silva
Funny you say that
Has anderson not done that with multiple fighters before?
Ie. Demian maia
Patrick cote
Forrest griffin
?????........
fedor!!!!!
I don't like watching Dan Henderson, the fights i saw he was just a slugger. Not my kind of fight. I want to see technique, either doing jiu jitsu, wrestling, muay thai, boxing... whatever it is. But just slugging away does nothing for me.
No disrespect towards Dan Henderson, he is tough and is resume speaks for it self.
I think you might wanna train your eye a bit better to see the finer points of his game. Or just look deeper than the rough edges. His stand up isn't crisp, I'll give you that. But if you have watched his career, trying to be a technical striker has never really helped him. He's a wrestler, not a boxer. He didn't start finding success with that H bomb until he started throwing like a slugger. But his ground work, clinch work, and cage presence is far from just a slugger.
In fact, check the reversal he pulled on Fedor prior to the stoppage. That right there was pure technique. It was so pretty I rewinded it like 10 times.
You are right though. his stand up is slugger style all the way though. He doesn't box you. He tries to take your head off. But that's because his "boxing" sucks. LOL.
I wouldn't mind seeing Dan sign up for a 2-3 fight contract with UFC, I haven't really seen him fight too much (before my time with MMA). If he has the guts to challenge Rampage or Jones then yeah all the power to him (and who knows, maybe he would seek a chance to redeem himself against Silva or Shields).
