I sit back (hopefully not blindly) and can't think of any.
I mean...changing it from 3/4 guard with a Meat Hook to "New Jersey" isn't quite renaming...its being way more specific.

People are grasping at straws. I'm pretty sure most people hate eddie cause their bjj instructors hate him and trash him. People are sheepa nd let this influence their opinion as well. If people really wanted to be purist about th names everything would have their japanese name.
Having been exposed to many martial arts and a majority of them very traditional, this is common place. Everyone will rag on the one that splits off and does his own thing that works for him, wishing only to share it with the rest of the world. If you look at every martial art, there's evidence of this. I'm a TKD guy at heart...I can't even begin to count how many different types of TKDs or even Karates there are out there!? Each one split from itself or a combination of others to create something unique and specific (and at times even exactly the same, but politics got involved). I know BJJ schools that dog on Eddie and 10th planet, but have no reasonable grounds for it. I love Eddie for what he's done for JJ and how he remains loyal to himself amidst all the controversy. I love the 10th planet system and feel that it's perfect for my body type and capability. Although BJJ fits me, 10P was designed for me. Thanks Eddie and keep doin whatchu do!

why i think peapole hate on eddie is because they are brain washed and make up there own history about martial arts and think they are anti-drug and anti-free thinking, but the best warriors where scholars that would get fuck up and think of shit. who else but a stoner would watch an animal and deside to fight like them.
