GSP, Bones, Hendo or someone else?
hendo then gsp
The question is: when's Renato getting his UFC contract?
The winner of the Brian Stan chael sonnen fight.
Ant Lopez
give him uncle sonnen and if he beats him then give him gsp after the diaz fight with the winner of tuf 14 to fight stann for the number one contenders spot
Chuck Norris
GSP or Enrique Iglesias
I dont' wanna see him fight GSP. I don't wanna watch him fight hendo again either. Jones needs to defend at least twice before this is interesting. IMO, he should wait to see who wins the Stann/Chael fight. I actually have Stann winning. I'd like to see Stann/Silva even though I know Anderson wins it. Gotta build fights up. But in the end, I think Jones/Silva is the most interesting option.
If he fights GSP, GSP will have a takedown ready. That would be hella interesting to see what anderson pulls from the guard cause his JJ is probably off the hook, especially with long limbs for triangles and omoplatass.
By the way, what happened to Silva bumping up to 205 in between title defenses? Those fights were crazy he embarraseds everyone 205 he fought so far.
Cung Le
Sonnen. Again.

I think this would be a good one
Chael Sonnen Part 2!!!!!!! Anderson doesn't want Chael again! But it needs to happen!!!!!
If he stays at 85 I think Jake Shields has the best shot at beating him. I dont think Silvas JJ is as high level as Shields, and Shields would most likely be able to take him down and keep him down too...he might even be able to catch Silva in something and finish.
A Sonnen rematch could be interesting, but I just think Silva underestimated Chael in the first fight, I dont think he stands to do any better than Okami did if they fought again.
If he moves up to 205 again, I would love to see him battle Rua. Jones would be another interesting fight but he hasnt really earned it yet.
He will probably end up back with Hendo, and I dont think Hendo will like the result.
I dont think Chael takes it this time if they rematch. I love how he hypes fights but honestly I think Silva embarrasses him this time. I havent given Stann any chance ever but hes proved me wrong everytime. Well im not going to start now. Silva takes Stann out quick. Id like to see Jones/Silva but as long as Machida is fighting in the 205 division I dont see it happening. Hendo has a good chance of beating him but I dont know that he will. Silva is rediculous. I dont really care much for the GSP/Silva superfight. GSP is a smart fighter but it will more than likely turn into every other one of his fights. Not as exciting as everybody is hoping
Here is my ideal order (course it's dependant on who wins what): Sonnen, GSP, Jones, and then if he's not retired then he can fight hendo one last time.
I agree that the fight probably wouldn't be too exciting, however I think if any style could beat Silva's, it's GSP's. Remember what (?) said before the Okami/Silva fight. Sonnen paved the way with giving people an answer to beating Silva, and that's takedowns and GNPing. And if anyones got the tools to do that it's GSP. He's taken down some of the baddest wrestlers and GNP'd some of that baddest BJJ players in the game without being threatened.
And ya it would probably turn into a decision on his favor, like pretty much all his other recent fights lol.
Part of me wants to see them fight just because of the fact that they'd both be in the cage at the same time, and that alone would blow my mind.
I think Anderson would beat GSP's ass, He's way to big for him.
Alan Belcher
If there is a superfight it'll be at a catchweight anyways, GSP supposedly walks around at 190lbs, Silva I hear is about 200lbs so ~10lb-~15lb difference (based on my information and understanding). I will say the really interesting fight would be vs Jones......be like two spiders vs each other!Quote:
Even though it's only a few inches of height and reach it's a massive weight difference at full hydration. And after seeing how easily Silva dropped a big man like Okami I'm not sure a smaller dude like Georgey-peorgey would take said hits.
jacare would be intresting. he needs to give sonnen a whipping though. hendo had his chance and blew it.
I'll probably get flamed for this, but I feel that Chael deserves a rematch. No one has ever taken it to Silva the way Chael did in their fight. I'm not trying to take anything away from Silva as he is one of my favorite fighters, but if it wasn't for that late game triangle, Silva would have lost the decision hands down. I'm actually surprised that Sonnen isn't on that list of "Who Silva should fight." Again, I'm prepared to get flamed for my opinion, but I had to be honest. At least I have my fire fighting pet at the ready =D.

I'm a little guy, I only weight 145 pounds. I routinely roll with guys who
are 185 up to a guy who is 300 pounds. They are far stronger than I am.
I never once, not one single time blame their size or strength if I get
beat. I blame my technique, and I tell myself I need more time on the mats.
Maybe you should look at your own game if you ever think "doping" beat you. enough said.
and yes, yes I know....here we go again
So then Anderson fighting GSP should have nothing to do with their weight or strength using that logic. If GSP loses it just means he needed better technique because Anderson's strength and size should have little effect since you roll with big guys all the time...
There's a nugget of truth in there... But I still think you have an unrealistic picture of what steroids are capable of. They don't take you from a weakling to a monster. And strength advantages don't count for nearly as much in fighting as they do in strength-ended sports, like powerlifting, strongman, Olympic weightlifting, etc. I lift over 100lbs more in all my core lifts having NEVER used steroids than most of the guys in my gym who have. So even then, steroids aren't the miracle that people make them out to be.
But back to the GSP vs Silva argument, if GSP did lose to Silva, there would indeed be a question of how he could improve his technique in order to beat a stronger, larger opponent. And grappling, of course, would operate under very different physics than striking.
