Great job bro. I thought i was watching myself there for a minute. You won that fight. When the guy came in at the end to give the ref the judges decision the ref was like "what, you tell em" he backed away cause he knew it was bull. watch it again lol. my only critique would be, dont be so content from the bottom. youve got a good guard game but its much more fun to be on top working your twister and top game.
Great job man great job..guard game is sick..only thing is like nelson said is either start learning take down,takedown defense, or start like ryan hall does at the begging of his matches..bc it sucks coming back from 2 points down at the start of every match bc of takedowns..lol
I was just wondering what the Angel of Death is.
Im guessing ATT put on the grapple contest with Din announcing and Renato reffing. Im slightly pissed that the gym 10 minutes from my house dropped the Renato Tavares affiliation last week, so all the higher belts from his gym left with it. Now I have to search out higher belts for my close by training. Maybe it will end up being a good thing somehow. Too many roosters in the hen house issue I think.

Did they not give Tyler points for his strong submission attempts? Even the Ref seemed like he was surprised that Tyler's opponent was declared winner. Tyler wasn't in danger of being submitted even one single time while the other guy was in constant threat of gogos, carnis, omoplatas, triangles, and an RNC. You won in my opinion Tyler. Yes we do have to work takedown defense, and we have to be able to threaten takedowns as well, but you won this match in my eyes.

True it shouldnt be left to the judges but Im sure everyone will agree with me in saying amazing display of 10th planet and rubber guard I personally believe that's how an MMA guard should look like , constantly attacking and working for submissions not just getting lucky on points cause of a few controversial calls , and also I heard alot of people there ( who had never even seen BJJ in their life let alone No-gi) say that was an awesome match and even the people in the promotion were shocked by the "extreme flexibility" of Tyler and hadn't even seen a majority of the stuff he was doing and even thought he won
To me that's a win in my book and if I were the other kid Id be ashamed my hand was raised after a match like that
but its the past and you just gotta look forward Tyler no one gets to the top looking down remember that.

I think you did great, so what you got stuff to work on. Keep your head HIGH!!! If i were you i would work on your wrestling whenever you can and as much as you can. Also when your in rubber guard keep the right active a couple times you got loose with it and he passed on you. Last tip work the crowbar after you clear the head to help get to jiu claw when they pressure back into you.
I have definitely learned from this loss and am correcting the flaws in my game. Wrestling has just started at my school and control/squeeze is one of my main priorities. I will also put reps into the crowbar, however, I am going to try and play a more active top game at tournies. Thank you all for the advice and kind words. Any tips on working on squeeze off the mats?
