Hot water on my muscles and ice cold water on my tendons. I usually apply that with the shower head after each training session. I use heat packs or ice packs if I actually hurt something.
Beyond that, the single greatest recovery thing i've done was when i last straightened out my diet and stopped any and all drinking. Before my last cage grappling match I did like a month of clean eating and no drinking leading up to my match. Miraculously (or obviously) all my injuries and soreness healed in time for the match. I was even increasing my training frequency and training harder but everything still healed up.
ok thanks ill try that, and i often find myself drinking diet pop insted of water so thats something i can definitely change about my diet.
