Silver in Pan AMs - Mission Control->CrackHead->Shoulder triangle-> Double Armbar

So I competed in the Pan Ams this weekend in NY and got silver. I will start off by saying I'm completely PISSED and depressed about this. I didn't even accept my medal after it was offered to me. I need to do a much better job of managing my weight (aka not cut 7 lbs the night before). I threw up after the match and was completely blah the whole time. I lost 6-0 in the finals. Maybe I need to play the points game more. I always go for the kill (submissions). Had her in a nasty gogo off rubber and a no-gi ezekial and she wouldnt tap. Im trying to get a vid of the finals match. Here is a vid of my first match for those who wanna check it:

Good first match. When you can't tap someone with a guillotine from the guard sweep them to get the two points. Good stuff keep your head up your a champ, and learn from the experience :)

It was a joke kza . Im sure Gabby has figured out I'm a smartass by now. At least thats the name my parents have givin me, that seems to fit.LOL.

No one has ever taken me up on that.........because they know I'm a smartass. Remind me to never use that shower joke with you. You take me way to seriously.LOL.

That was awesome. For feeling as bad as you did it didn't show much in this first match. I'm sure your opponent didn't see it. :] Very nice work! Use to that frustration to get after it but take some credit for this. That was beautiful.

I was at this tournament. I lost my first match and I saw a whole different level of competition.
I didn't see this match, but I saw the girl laying on the mat afterward...so this is what happened. Congrats on the silver, this was a tough tournament.

I know and thanks for the support everyone. I'm just seriously pissed that I lost to a girl I know I can beat. Its my own fault..if i didn't wait to lose those 7 lbs I would of been strong and fast and not gassed out. Anyone have a diet or weight cutting routine that worx for them???
I've gone over this match 100 times in my head. I know what I need to do to fix it. No more losing...I'm not used to this and I don't take it very well at all.

Gabby i think you did great. You see now how important controlling your weight is, Keep working. As far as the medal thing goes you should always take whatever award your given. No one says youu have to keep it. Herzog asked everyone at the gym acouple months ago to bring all the award they won and put them up in the gym. So I did but I kept most of my 2nd or 3rd place awards at home. I see them everyday I wake up and every night before I go to bed, It reminds me of the matches I've lost and keeps working hard in the gym everyday. It works for me but it might not for you.
