Why are people fed up with the current financial/political system? (Inside Job vid)

Why did the financial firms get a $700 BILLION bail-out from the Federal Government? Watch the movie, "Inside Job narrated by Matt Damon." This movie is an analysis of the 2008 financial melt down of the Banking industry and what has lead to some of today's public frustration and a major cause of the Occupy Wall St. movement. I saw it On Demand for free from my cable company. I think its also running on Starz or Encore regularly. Here's the preview:

When I used to lived close to NYC, every once in a while, I would run into guys that worked in the financial district in lower Manhattan and they would blow through money like it was confetti at a ticker-tape parade. I'm talking $5 to $10 grand at a time, and these guys weren't even that high up the ladder yet. The guys who are at the top do whatever the fuck they want because they have the politicians (the law makers) in their back pockets. Watch the documentary and you'll see what I mean.

walls street, big business, capitalism, is not to blame.

blame should be pointed at the politicians, they make the laws.

the protest should be at the white house, not on wall street.

the occupy wall street protestors are losers that i would never associate myself with. they are crapping on cop cars, crapping in the streets, crapping in peoples businesses, they are spitting on people, they are having sex in the streets, they are destroying what ever they touch, if they were in your neighborhood you would want them arrested.

that is not how you protest.

i have been to several protests here in nevada and we never did any of the above mentioned things, we just wanted are voices heard.

The problem is not just wall street and the politicians, it is the federal reserve. All money is debt, every dollar in circulation was created by the banks when someone takes out a loan. They do not print the interest for these loans. If everyone were to try to pay off their loans today, there would be no money and people would still owe because of the interest/usury.

So what is the solution, end the fed, and have a commodity base money system, not this monopoly money bullshit. If money was not debt, it would not always be headed back to the banks. It would stay in the system and the banks would have to come to the people for the money.

The incident your talking about happened in Boston. Not NY. The people in that rally said, "it was not anyone we, know that spat on anyone"

This really is beside the point of the protest. Hundreds of hours have gone by with tens of thousands of people and this is focus of the news? Someone had an alleged spittle blown on their clothes? Spitting on people? That implies its a mode of behaviour of the protesters when it is not. I've only been able to find one picture of a guy with his ass on the side of a police car, the image has no date stamp, is of an unknown person and there is no fecal matter to speak of. This is hardly an avalanche or epidemic. The only problem has been sanitation in the park. Unrelated to this poo myth.

You're following the finger, not the text in this event. Also you have conflating the issue of people being pepper sprayed as they stood peacefully and without provocation. There is video footage to confirm these events. Unlike the unsubstantiated spin that has you preoccupied with the quality of the protesters. Who would fall for such simplistic subterfuge.

That is the similar idea that I had. I think that if we can appeal to wealthy people though -- which it very well should, with the technology we have today we could all live much better than the wealthiest do today -- then it stands a chance. Especially with how well the Occupy protests have been able to resist provocateurs and remain peaceful, I think the internet and the freedom of information it offers gives us the potential. It's getting harder and harder to spin events the way you want to when everybody is taking video. In any case I don't want any part in the way it is.
