Why did you get into Jiu-Jitsu/fighting in general?
When I was a freshman in highschool I got into some serious shit, and the school RO made a deal with me that if I came and boxed for his team so he could teach me some manners and whatever that he would let me off the hook.I didn't make it very far, I only took 2nd in a Silver Gloves tournament, and I moved to Texas soon after. I met a few people at my new school that got me into Boxing again, and then introduced me to JKD (which is pretty fucking awesome in a street fight), and Muay Thai. After some time I moved schools again, and met a dude named Hector who was a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner for Gracie Barra. He was legit as fuck and I asked him to teach me a few things. Eventually I went to his gym. It juts so happens that the day I showed up they were going to a tournament, so Hector had me tag along "just to watch". When we got there however he started to convince me to participate in it even though I didn't know shit about the sport. I ended up taking second place somehow, and I have loved Jiu-Jitsu ever since! Eventually I discovered the 10th Planet system, and fell in love with how technical it was, and how different it was from Traditional BJJ. I've been studying the system and I love it, and the people involved with it are fucking awesome! I don't see myself giving up the 10th Planet ever!
