Have you tried stepping over like that in live rolling it looks tough and I wonder if most BJJ players would roll to their back once they felt you reach for that hook? Would it work on a wrestler? hm......
A couple of guys at my gym are single leg riders and they got tons of crazy entries but for some reason they don't see the relevance to jiujitsu.
Me gusta...
I remember Edgar Cano showing an entry very similar to that in the technique videos of the old site. I'm not sure if you will all remember (or were around back then).
I remember being pretty impressed with it though I think he went to with with an underhook rather than an overbook.
You could almost do this when someone whips up to dog fight.
hmm i will try this
I'll give this a try too...will require some quick movement but worth a shot...
Looks like it's worth trying
alot of that stuff works, but you have to be quick and deceptive. the reason it works in wrestling is cuz having someone on your back is not a big deal. so to translate it over you have to play it differently. my wrestling coach shows some of this n we do it, but we deff play it differently.
Ughhhh I only watched the video once but i think i would try to plan b that dude....maybe i need to watch again.
For later
Looks ultra sweet but I'm really not sure about how high percentage it would be. In jiu jitsu, dude going for the single should always have his left leg hooking dudes right leg from around the back. Having the under hook without hooking his right leg is rare for my students anyways, but nonetheless I hope it pans out into a legit move we can inject it into the system, we are always hiring :)
I'm going to play with it from dog fight tonight
