Tony Bravo would have eye-gouged him!
They're not even wearing shoes!
i like that he took the slap like a man cos he knew he fucked up. i woulda freaked lol
Holy shit!!!! lol
I would give him the troll face back
what a baby. who hasn't been kneed in the face during jiujitsu? it happens, toughen up. unless the guy is high fiving his teammates after it happens, chill out.
Yes, he shouldn't have reacted that way, but that knee was at least 60-70% power and hit flush so for SURE he felt it. Plus, if he doesn't train striking and gets hit regularly, his pain tolerance to that hit could have been pretty low, so really, I'm surprised he didn't throw an actual strike back like a hook or uppercut judging from how much it looked like the knee hurt him. Then again AJ, you're right lol, I get knee'd by my partners in the temple of all places at least once a week and I don't get mad. I just tell them to keep rolling.
haha never been knee'd in the face once except in mma sparring. i usually just get accidental palm strikes and elbows lol which do suck almost as much.
LOL i won a match in a tourny once cuz i had i a guy in the thai clinch and when we disengaged he stumbled backwards and fell, i subsequently charged him from the other side of the mat at full bore sprint. He tried to sit up and single leg me and when he did he took a fat knee to the dome. I then quickly applied a handy guillotine and finished him...he had no idea wat was going on he was still loopy from the knee.
So on another note, im a pretty non confrontational guy but if you slap me in front of god and everyone, we might be fighting. By might i mean im going to kick you in the balls and stomp your little baby feet.
I WOULD HAVE WHOPPED HIS ASS!!! A slap to the face in front of people? i couldn't let him get away with it no matter what i did to him.
Is it me, though, or did that knee look something less than purely accidental? I dunno. Maybe he was just looking for a foot sweep and was way off, but it just looks to me like he was being pretty cavalier about where that knee was going. Doesn't excuse the bitch slap, but that looked like more than just an "oops, did my knee get too close to your face?"
that wasn't the same as a knee that barely hits you on the ground guys. he threw that knee in the clinch and it wasn't really an accident. he probably is used to muay thai so he definitely threw it reflexively with force.
There is no excuse for that knee and it's painfully obvious to me atleast.
Maybe he was gonna go for a Judo throw and and misjudged it. I mean he looks very calm and collected even after the slap to the face. If somebody is jacked up, upset and dirty enough to throw an illegal knee to the face, more than likely that fight would have elevated.
there's a common grip escape where you put your knee onto their wrist and pull your hand back while pushing their hand away with your knee. it looked like he let go of the dude's wrist just as the other guy was throwing his knee up to begin the grip escape. some guys like to grab your wrist, yank you down, and then shoot low after they release you and you recoil upward...
if both things happen at the same time... well you end up with a wild knee and a dude dropping a level to say hi to it. it happens.
The slap was a bitch ass move. There was no mistake, it was intentional. The knee, ok learn some controll, but he even looked up as to show he realized it was bad. But you get so mad you cant controll your self then slap some one? It wasnt even a Pimp slap. no follow thru, his eyes arent gonna water up. he aint gonna have your money!
he didn't have to slap him he could of just kneed back
from a dude on youtube - "Are you saying that you’ve spent years grappling – over a decade? – and never once caught an accidental knee? This beggars belief. Have you ever stepped in a BJJ gym or judo dojo? I’ve taken plenty of accidental knees and hits to the head. I even know someone who, in training, had his eyebrow split by an accidental knee to the face from an attempted grip break – the same attempted grip break seen in the video. It happens."
in judo, it's a common grip break. i have a step by step for it in Dave Camarillo's book.
Anybody know what the ruling was? IMO, the knee was accidental. The guy instantly stopped tugging, said, "oh, crap", and backed off. The guy who slapped him should be DQ'ed for unsportsmanlike conduct and intentional striking. This is a combat sport. It sucks that you got kneed, but grow up. How strong the knee was is irrelevant. Ask for a point deduction and a minute to compose yourself, and move on.
