Request, a 10th Planet for Santa Cruz

I love that we have 10th P locations all over LA and at least one in SF. But I'm moving to the peaceful nature of the Santa Cruz mountains next year and the BJJ school selection is terrible. Not only is there no 10th P but the schools they do have are so fucking strict you can't leave the mat without instructor permission, wtf is that? I'm a paying adult, I'll pee or get up when I feel like it.

So I'm just saying if any of your higher up belts want to move there and start one, I think the town is ripe for it, weed and BJJ is Santa Cruz seems like a no brainer. :)

i hate that shit...can't leave the mat when u feel like it? i understand kids classes doing that...but fuck all that noise...anyways..there's enough 10th planets in california...can we get one in Ohio please? preferably in Toledo where I live

Build it and they will come I promise you that! Just stay true to tha Planet and shit will work out. A hotbox is a lot of work but as we all kno anything worth it is hard work.

I went to UCSC and actually trained at Quantum JJ on campus so I'm familiar with that area, get that hot box going dude, everything will start to manifest from there, gotta start somewhere though ;)

Johnny, let's stay in touch and when I get there in May I'll start seeing what can be done.

Maybe I can buy a storefront and use half of it as a gym for the hotbox, i saw a place in the valley here that did that, seemed like a good idea.

That quantum jiujitsu is crazy lookin, but what did you think of it?

For those requesting 10p in you area, understand Eddie does not pick or choose what cities 10th planet goes to. If people want 10p in there area, they need to make it happen. If you are a white belt, go train, any jiu jitsu is better than no jiu jitsu. Work your way up the ladder, while repping 10p on the side with a homie or training partner, drill the shit outta the warm ups and the material on mts. Get some skill, some rank, some competition, then travel to moons and hq, work your way into the system, then with the proper approval create your own hotbox or moon. Don't whine and complain that there is no 10p in your area. How do you think the rest of us got 10p in our area?.....we went out and got it, and brought it back! No one is going to bring 10p into your area for you, you need to make it happen.

Hello Chris and thank you for your response. It was probably bad form for me to resurrect a 4 year old thread, but it left off as the possible formation of a hot box and I didn't want to miss out on a conversation that happened outside the forum as a new resident to the area. I think your suggestions are great and plan to do exactly that :)
