Ya i think that this was actually really bad reporting. They are trying to take an issue and making it more relevant by relating it to something that has the spotlight right now.

Well, wouldn't more power to the military and less to the people mean that one can stop mass protests more efficiently? That might perhaps be a link? I dunno.. I'll go club some baby seals instead, I don't understand politics.

We don't generally use our military handle protestors. (We aren't Iran lol)

LOl while the bill is certainly alarming, we don't have military patrolling the streets or randomly arresting ppl. Its def not a good thing but its not as bad as it sounds.

Why? Because it's taken more than a day to fully implement? First they pass this bullshit, and then they aclimate you to the reality of it bit by bit.

All im saying is I don't understand why the article tried to link this bill to OWS. While the bill is certainly wrong, i don't see the connection they are trying to make. This generation of bad media is upsetting.
