love the ninja shoes he's wearing
I was expecting the ninja choke?
Come on dude! It's obviously the Single Leg Boston Crab. If Lance Storm got you in one of those, it's tap or snap baby.
I had a guy who dropped in at the gym try to pass the guard that way and round housed me in the face. Needless to say he quickly ended up on the losing end of a scramble
And as soon as I transitioned from side to mount he tapped and wouldn't roll anymore.
we found that in an old catch wrestling book. great to create some scrable.
Looking past his hand on the mat and the whole Ninja-ness, I believe there may be something here actually. I messed with something similar to this a while back, trying to either leg-lock or set-up a pass. I never got it to work and threw it out after a week or so… But there may be something there that I was a few details off from.
Seen that being taught before in bjj. Kind of a bullshit move. Never lay down to get out of guard. And that guy should not teach what he doesnt know. Of course, like most tma black belts, he thinks he knows everything about everything. Delusional fuck.
Haha! I'm working on a move where i lye down to get out of guard and as they mount me I disappear and appear again on the back. I've been stumped on the transition and the disappearing thing so Ninja Flash Powder sounds like my next viable option...
Wise words

seriously though that guy stephan hayes is supposed to be like a legit american ninja i think
I like how instead of using his right hand to shelf the knee to keep his opponent from pulling out or scrambling he keeps that shit in a straight up tiger claw in case of emergency. Classic Steve!!
Tma is traditional martial art
Catch Wrestling has a a few different set ups.. Even if they don't succeed you're not giving up much. I don't like the one shown on this videos however because he practically lays on his back. It's just a dumb set up.
He's kind of on the right track but hes riding a pedal powered unicycle and JJ Machado is on a Dirt Bike.
starts at around 2:30

i've never seen a gold belt before except in the movie red belt or heard of a gold belt in any traditional japanese martial arts. but the do that move in pro wrestling and they call it a single leg boston crab
Hhhaah! The kanji's at the start of the video read; "Way of the ninja" :) My Japanese classes are paying off!:D
Red belt sucked. I appreciate the effort put into it, and I liked some segments of the movie, but man..
It's possible to pull off the Boston crab on the mats too, but it's not easy.. I got it once on a noob, from him sitting on me in the mount, to me flipping him over by the way of feet in the armpits. Not exactly a go-to move, lol!
I like the point he makes early on, that liver punches won't work if the guy has a jacket on. So true, so true.
this guy is silly... of course the proper way to break the guard is by sneezing right in their face... they'll be so grossed out they'll forget all about holding you with their legs... and if that doesn't work then just start pulling your pants off... and then there is only one layer of clothing between him and your big meaty cock instead of two (assuming these are real men that go commando) and most men just can't handle a floppy donkey dick between their legs that doesn't belong to them.... ok please guys... don't do anything I just said... ever
yeah i agree redbelt wasn't as good as it could of being and had the potential for much more, but more exposure to MMA jiu jitsu in mainstream media can only be could for us, but i see alot of guys do it surprisingly it street fights because they rember it from watching pro wrestling in the 80s & 90s
