This guy is a fairly terrible reporter with horrible camera/stage presence. He obviously is gi biased, hence the negative tone toward 10th Planet and nogi jiu jitsu "not being jiu jitsu". John Danaher is pretty cool guy though.
is there a 10th planet black belt that hasn't had a gi background ?
Yeah, the reporter was being a dick with the nogi isn't real Jiu jitsu bullshit. He's drinking the cool aid! But, John Danaher seemed like a open minded guy. I like when I hear guys saying they want to the best grappler they can be. Not just Bjj.

I was especially shocked when the reporter implied that 10th planet black belts are just a result of a business decision.
How can someone be so negative instead of being open minded and curious about all the facets of jiu jitsu is beyond me.

John Danaher is an absolute legend but Christ on a bike that reporter is annoying. Talk about towing the company line. I bet he's wearing a 'Gracie Barra' t shirt under his suit. I'm really sick of the 10th Planet/No Gi bashing. I got lambasted the other day on reddit simply for speaking in support of Eddie's techniques and the No Gi world in general, complete bullshit.
In terms of bias, the reporter is bringing way too many of his own opinions into the interview. That only works when it's a "conversation" with John Danaher and not an "interview" with John Danaher. And, if we don't know who you are and you have no credibility -as is the case with the reporter, then we don't care what your opinion is. This is typical of the You Tube "I bought a camera so now I am a reporter" mentality that is prevalent these days...
Danaher is awesome. Like Eddie, could listen to him all day. Reporter is a douche though...
He took a brief shot at 10th Planet as a Gi guy, but statement about blackbelts wasn't targeted at us. IMHO
he is a horrible reporter. terrible.

He said he was a Carlson guy and then said nothing new since de la riva. What a coincidence that de la riva was a Carlson guy.
The guy is more awkward than rainman. His questions would have eight questions in them and by the time it was johns turn to talk, it was unclear what John should be responding to
He said something like, "moving on...unfortunately people are giving names to moves, like the Cro..." Sounds like he was going to say Crotch Ripper. This guy is sad.
