Need advice from my fellow 10th Planet people

Ok so here is the situation. I'm doing the Eddie Bravo Seminar in Michigan on Feb 18th, Which is probably gonna be the biggest day of my martial arts career so far. After i was going to go to the mma fights that hes gonna be a guest at. Here's the problem i just got offered to be the photographer at another mma show that night that has "King Mo" Lawal as the guest referee. Now here i am stuck should I stick with where Eddie is gonna be since i don't know when i will ever have the chance to be around the master again, or do i take pics at the event where i could possibly get some amazing pics with a high level mma fighter. That could be big for my budding photography career.

What's more important: learning something from the master, or standing beside somebody famous for a picture?

I'm going to say jump on that photography gig. You might have to wait a while to see Eddie again, but if you're into jiu-jitsu for the long haul, you'll probably get to go to a seminar eventually. But if you want to make a living as a photographer, you've got to take advantage of every opportunity thrown your way.

is it one or the other out right OR could you still attend the seminar?

Ideally you could do the seminar and then do the photography thing as well. The best of both worlds..

if its job related make money from photography then vacation to HQ with money you make.

Right that's what I'm leaning towards it may be different if i was like hanging out with Eddie after the seminar but I'm sure that's not the case. I'm hoping that i might be able to take some pics of Eddie and Scott too before i head up to the other show. I just think that some pics of someone famous may help my portfolio for other Mma Events.

You're doing the seminar. That's important for your MMA career. But that's already in the bag. Going the the event that Eddie's a guest at is cool, but you're most likely just gonna hang out with him...and that's not even a guarantee. He might be too busy to chill.

But being a photog is the better opportunity.

Put it like this:

I can learn from the Master at the seminar and help my MMA career, then maybe possibly chill with him later.

Or

I can learn from the Master at the seminar and help my MMA career, then have a great opportunity for my photography career.

Seems like one option has more opportunity than the other.

Ya go for the photography gig Eddie is not some untouchable celeb you can easily find him and have the opportunity to hang with him at HQ or another seminar chances to advance your career are harder to create.

Thank you everyone for the input. Deff gonna take the photo job it will deff look good in my portfolio for future MMA events. Looks like Feb 18th is gonna be a great day teachings by the Master and then paying job after.

I've never understood people being star struck. MMA/Jiu jitsu guys are normal people. I met Eddie this weekend. He seems like a great guy, but I promise he doesn't have wings or walk on water!!
