Attention MIDWEST Affiliates.

In light of the awesome idea Coach Herzog had to plan an east coast affiliate gathering.....

The master himself, Eddie B has requested that we put on a
Midwest Affiliate gathering and tourney. This will be held at 10th Planet Springfield May 26th and 27th ( Saturday/Sunday). We will probably have something planned for Friday the 25th for people who are coming from out of town.
Brian told me to let everyone know that he will make sure to schedule a seminar for that weekend so those attending will go home with some mega knowledge. As soon as he books it I will let you guys know who the teacher is.

We are also going to put on our own mini tournament and I will have all the particulars for that ASAP. Hope to see all affiliates from the Midwest. Message me for any questions. Thanks.

PS: any Texas affiliates/hot boxes who want to join are welcome.

This is a great idea! I REALLY wish I could take part in this but, somewhat unfortunately, I leave for Japan on the 24th. I'm sure the other STL guys will be really excited about this, though.

What I'm saying is, this should be a regular/annual/semi-annual event. ;)

Josh - Just getting the message now! I'm actually getting married that weekend so I'm out for sure. I have a feeling Nate won't make it then either since he'll have to be at the gym teaching that weekend. I'll pass on the info to our guys and see if anyone is interested in participating.

This is the greatest idea I have ever heard! I will most certainly be there for sure! This is like that time when I was 10 and my parents sent me to space camp (that never really happened)! Seriously I think I just creamed my shorts! 10th Planet 4EVA!!!

Too close to the Rochester timeline for me. I'd love to go and rep 10th Planet St. Paul for the midwest, but I'm pretty much for sure going to the Roc and Scott's party.

Hopefully this turns into a yearly event and eventually spawns a meeting of all the affiliates. I would like to meet you all in person.

We are going to try to secure a big ass van and hopefully bring 15 guys not including the Elite Fight System guys. Should be fun as hell.

We will have discounted rates at a very nice hotel here in Springfield for anyone that would like to attend call me for more info.417-841-8250.Also we will be putting up an awesome first place team prize, I would love to hear any suggestions for what will make all the teams wanna show up cash,trips,an elaborate trophy that is held by the winning team for one year(like the Stanley cup)? Please chime in because we do want this to be an amazing event to tighten up the 10p fam in the "Middle"! And of course to close out a great weekend I will bring out an amazing instructor to train together as one huge team in Sunday! Any suggestions for teachers would also be well received! We look forward to hosting an amazing event and hope to create a little prestige to "Best in The Midwest" and all who take part! Contact myself or Jeff Vale for details! :)

According the US Census Bureau, the midwest is made up of two regions, the West North Central and the East North Central. The states in the midwest include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Springfield, Missouri has an interesting location being very close to Arkansas and other southern states too.
Closest states to Springfield, Missouri are Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Illinois. Also Tennessee
is not that far away. It's ironic that Springfield, Missouri is closer to Arkansas than just about any other state.
Will be interesting to know what states will be involved.

Alright guys, I know the updates have been lacking. We have had a super busy Spring thus far and this unfortunately got put on the back burner for a minute while we took care of business. So....

The Official Date for the event will be June 2nd and Third. We will do a tournament and training sessions on Saturday. Go party saturday night and Sunday we will be brining out a BJJ BB for a seminar for everyone. We have not locked down who will be doing the seminar but as soon as I know we will have it put up.

Also... If you are attending and want to participate in the Midwest's 10th Planet Tourney Message me and let me know. We will use the same format as the East Coast with -155 and +155.

Again sorry for the lack of updates. Hope the Boys from St Louis, PBluff, Omaha, Chicago, Indy, and anyone else who flies the 10th P flag can make it.

Josh just asked us Monday about this I couldnt make it may 26-27 but the first weekend in june should be good to go!!!

Awesome, Anyone in your crew want to be in the 8 man tourney?

Hell yeah getting stoked. Earlier in the thread there was talk of a hotel hookup. Is that still a go?

It seems the short timing of putting out a date for this event has kind of left it dead in the water. We have decided to cancel this weekends event and will be putting on a training event to get ready for Gracie Worlds the weekend June 16th. Chicago is coming down to train and everyone else is invited. Saturday June 16th 10th Planet Springfield's Allen Gibson is fighting on a local card that is featuring 13 UFC Vets along with vets from Pride, Bellator, WEC and Strikeforce. So if anyone wants to come down that weekend they are welcome. Sorry for all the confusion around this event. We have had a ton going on at the gym. Hopefully we can schedule a fall event that will be timed better for more Midwestern affiliates to make it.

Well, looks like everyone should just use this opportunity to go to the Chicago Eddie Seminar June 9th!
