If you do, have you ever tried incorporating the 10thPJJ system into your gi game? I've used it quite a bit. For example, I've used Jail Break numerous time in gi competition against guys like Hermes Franca and Bruno Bastos. I working on putting together a series of Videos on how to incorporate the 10thPJJ system into the gi game. I feel it will open a lot of eyes. Especially for the gi only type of practitioners.
Heresy! Burn him at the stake! Haha just kidding. Lots of the 10thPJJ moves work with the Gi. Unfortunately many Gi practitioners are closed-minded and would probably scoff at your incorporation videos.... but fuck those guys, I'd watch them :)
The school I train at trains in the Gi most of the time, and I've found that most of the rubber guard system works pretty well whether you have the gi on or not. I use the rubber guard to set up omaplata's and armbars, and use crackhead control for armbars. I also use the twister side control on a regular basis, although I use it mainly because it is an easy position to mount from and don't go for the twister very often since it has been outlawed in nearly all competitions.
I train both and I like it
I train only in the gi and have been using it pretty effectively. I love using rubber guard for omoplatas and to set up triangles.

There are gi moves from the rubber guard. 10th Planet is anything and everything that works nogi, and those same moves (usually) work pretty well in the gi too. I train both. I started nogi (informally with friends), then moved to formally studying gi bjj regularly. I use a bunch of TPJJ stuff in the gi with decent success, and not just one position. I have found the lockdown to be more productive for stalling then sweeping, but the sweeps are still there. Pretty much everything else (at least basic paths) seems to work as well or better. I play a ton of TSC, RG, and butterfly stuff with TPJJ adaptations. also the truck and twister positions are really easy to control when someone is flailing, because their whole body is a grip.
If anyone has videos (like the one mentioned above) or advise on adapting TPJJ for the gi, or if anyone wants to roll in the Bay Area, let me know!
I do both. About 90% gi right now though...
I do gi , it slows me down and makes me think alot more. less fluid but i enjoy it.
I LOVE using the Hubber Guardch wif da Gi. People have no clue what to do. They look at me like why is your foot coming infront of my face? But by then it's already much too late. I love getting to the Omaplata position (if'n I can't get my beloved Gogo)
and clasping my hands around the neck to finish with a choke instead of the shoulder lock. I call it the choke-a-plata!
I train both. A littel more gi than no gi for now and use 10th planet in the gi all the time. I actually just taught some rubber guard in a gi class today. All positive feedback from the guys I taught it to.
All the time, thats what my style is about, Mixing traditional and 10th planet, besides everything no Gi works with the Gi
