I can't say I am all that impressed. The attitude presented by the camera guy and bystanders killed it for me. Obviously this guy had zero ground skills and his kick boxing was'nt all that great, although it was better than the other guy.

I also felt for a Gracie he could of done alot better/more, or at least with their reputation it is expected of him. I being a moral and nice guy at first felt negative about the cameramen laughing and saying 'thats your face' and etc... but the reality is this to them in their family with their culture, this fighting is almost like its a game, they are having fun watching, its a very framilier thing to them, and ralek and the kid are fighting under a lose set of rules even though its a street fight, but still over once one guy gives up and nobody jumping in or eyegoughing going for groin or anything...
The coaching gracies wanted to see ralek break his arm and smash his face with those knees, you can absolutely tell though ralek was hesitant to knee him in the face, and took the choke more than once when he could of taken the guys arm -- you can tell he was looking just to win not really hurt the other guy very bad...

for a guy like Ralek training for like 10 years since he started at 4 years old it looked pretty bad. I 100% believe that some of the 10p bluebelt teens wouldve beat him down.
todays 10 am work dump was more impressive than that performance.

I can't imagine what context would cause Ralek to kick the kid in the back after he let go of the choke? And who was screaming bitch? Having done 2 seminars with Ryron, Im amazed the Gracies allow this video to be up with their name on it.
On the DVD versions of Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Action they have some footage that wasn't on the VHS version. I think this fight may be one of those additions. Not 100% sure though.Quote:

Plus, if you do cause injury you have to think about it from a legal standpoint. Life or death do what you've got to do, but in what could be considered a "normal" fight where your life isn't at risk the RNC is just about the safest thing to go for.
I will have to hear the full story, but I have to say at this point in time it is kind of beneath the Gracies to be accepting back yard challenges with an obnoxious camera man taping it. Their are already plenty of kickboxing vs jiu jitsu videos out there. My respect for that branch of Gracies just dropped a bit.
