Rear Nake Choke = Broken Arm

So I'm just wondering if anyone has had or heard of this happening. So far the consensus is no. Guess it was just the right/wrong angle, leverage, pressure etc.

Couple weeks ago i competed in a match, had back control fighting for a choke and the guy's defense was tough. Eventually got my arm locked in for a RNC but his chin was still tucked a bit. Knowing the RNC was not completely in i was confident my squeeze was strong enough to finish, well it did that and more. Squeezed w everything i had, he tapped but right as he was tapping my forearm snapped around his chin. Now I'm out w a surgically repaired arm complete w plate and screws. The silver lining is i now have a bionic choke arm!

Ouch, dude that sucks. Never heard of that happening before. Have a speedy recovery!

Post videos or it didn't happen... what? That would be cool as hell to watch.

Yeah I'm w you Chris, no injury vids needed. But here's a pic right after surgery high as kite, fighting pain and eating a cookie a fellow nibiru warrior brought me in the hospital haha.

Jasons a beast and I saw the video he even slapped his hand on the mat with his broken arm because it wasnt painful enough to just have a fracture.

thanks mike. haha yeah that part is a trip. felt and heard the snap but was so pumped and still didnt realize what really happened that i slapped the mat with my broken arm in celebration.

I once had a guys back in comp and he 2 on 1'd my overarm. He levered it adainst his chest and shoulder and had me in an all out armbar. My ego is pretty in check, but noway I was gonna tap with back control and both hooks. So he popped my elbow and i ended up winning the match on points. This is what I was expecting. Dayum cuzin..

I love using a foam roller to work on my squeeze. I've RNC'd the hell out of that thing and a couple of times I've felt my arm bend a little. I didn't really think anything of it. "There's no way my squeeze is good enough to break my own arm." You just scared the shit out of me dude.

This is something I've wondered about, but I do have a habit of concoting scenarios resulting in some bizarre injury occuring, so I never thought it would actually happen.

Like DDTs. When I first started and a training partner explained a technique called the Sprawl I couldnt understand why that was better than a DDT when defending a shot.

Thanks guys. I'm healing well. Had a follow up this past Tuesday and everything is going ahead of schedule. 2 1/2 weeks left in cast, month of rehab then I'm cleared to do what i want with my, this is a direct quote from the doc, "reinforced choke arm"! Caralho!

Now youve got a stronger arm to go along with that squeeze. Sounds like a positive to me. Btw, with that combination.. you should get a hold of Brandon Mccaghren and ask him about a little thing called the "peanut".. you'll be crushin skulls in no time ;)
