BJJ for Beginners - Perth, Western Australia

Thought about if this appropriate to post here for a while, but hopefully you all know, I've had 10 love from the start of my BJJ life and hearing Eddie and Joe talk about BJJ is what finally got me into my local school. There are no 10 schools in Perth and after listening to EBR 62 and hearing about beginners starting out thought I'd try to promo my new 'BJJ for beginners' gig I'm trying to get off the ground.

Like Eddie has always said 'if there is no 10 near you, hit up any BJJ school as any BJJ is better than none' and in my biased opinion, as a complete beginner your best option in Perth is me and training at AMMA.

Anyway, if there are any peeps in Perth, who want to get into BJJ but are still to intimidated, shy, unsure or whatever, please give me a buzz.

I'm not promoting that I'm teaching 10 stuff or anything like that, just someone who understands that not everyone can or willing to just jump in the deep in the end.

    Full details are at

    Thank you for time

    Cheers

I've competed against Tim, and he is a super cool guy - I'm absolutely confident that he'll look after you if you hit him up for this.

Highest ranking is my coach, Adam Metcalf, 2nd degree black belt.

He was WA's first BJJ black belt under John Will. Will was one of the 'dirty dozen' being the first group of non Brazilian black belts from Rigan and Jean Jaques. (My undertstanding of the lineage anyway).

Think there approximately 30 odd black belts in Western Australia and my club has 5 on the mat regularly.

And thanks for the kind words Anthony. Hope to make it over to Melb again and even up the score soon

Im in Joondalup and theres loads of places to train around here, but not sure which one to sign up to, are you still at the Balcatta gym running the beginners one to one sessions? Thanks Danny

    Hey Danny,

I haven't been doing this for a while but been talking about possibly getting it back off the ground, so checked in and saw your post. Sorry I missed it.

Am keen to chat if you want to want to discuss things or hopefully, given this post is 6months+ old, you made the jump and have been happily rolling away at Mach1, Imperial or one of the other schools up your way.

    Cheers. Tim.
