Lucas Leite Half Guard: Far Hook Control Study – Part 1

Thank you for putting that together. I've been a half guard player since my first lesson and still feel super motivated to keep pushing forward and really master 1/4 clinch and dogfight to their highest levels, the main two positions featured here.
I also love those truck options that present themselves uniquely from the dogfight position. I've spent hours underneath in my career and I appreciate the small details presented here in this example. Half guard is massive for me and it's great to see it get more respect here in this video.

It's a good way to see it in use! -
Lucas has a great half guard, it's very similar to the 10p style.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together mate

Agreed! I was really hoping the video editing and music cutting out would match up better, because you were commentating (or at least talking by the camera) on the Rahya match and you say "oh shiiiiit, he's got his back" haha. I was gonna try put it over the video but it didn't really work out.
Thanks! It was pretty fun to do! -
Not too many dogfight masters outside of 10p. Lucas is a dogfight assassin, so beautiful to watch

Part 2 is up, about options for attacking the inside. Especially against opponents who deny or shut down the underhook, as well as covering some options against inverted half and submission defense. -
Awesome breakdown. Leite is a ninja
