Hmm, don't know. I would definitely Soap Defense it up though. Do you know if they clean regularly?
Get it checked! Could be staph or could be nothing. Better safe than sorry
Good point! I'll have it looked at tomorrow. Everything looked clean to me.
Impetigo is a very contagious form of Staph. It usually presents in "pimple-like" clusters and is very fond of the hands and face. Hands being the elbows to fingers.
Here's some more information. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/impetigo/DS00464.
Usually it's not the gym or schools fault. It's the dirty person you may have rolled with. Easy ways to prevent rashes is to keep your skin intact. Which means moisturizing right after you get out of the shower. Showering strips the skin of it's natural and essential oils. Dry skin is weak skin. Keep any broken skin covered. Do not shave right before or after rolling. Do not scratch, EVER! Finger nails are breeding grounds for bacteria. Any time a rash is present it got there because your skin was not intact or healthy.
I put a paste of apple cider vinegar and baking soda on it last night and they were all gone by this morning!
It's probably just irritated hair follicles, I used to get them really bad on my forearms from holding pads it's just from all the rubbing.
Whoops, I'm guility of that and will need to stop...Quote:

This guy shaves before rolling,

Get to the Dr so they can test it for Mrsa. I've had reg staph once and Mrsa. Shit spread like crazy bc bacteria lives in colo nies and is resilient as hell. Most likely you'll be given antibiotics but if you test positive for Mrsa the Dr gives you an ointment to spread in your nose.
During the summer I would get small red bumps on my wrist, thankfully it was just heat rash.

Most online pictures of heat rash are extreme. This is probably the most mild one I found that was similar to the one on my wrist. It wasn't contagious but could potentially expose me to an actual infection. Needless to say, I always rolled with a rash guard until it cleared up while I kept applying trible antiobotic ointment to it, in order to prevent any infection.
We had a guy that used to roll at our club who had impetigo. It looked exactly like you described: small red bumps.
EDIT - Also, I had some kind of fungal infection on my shin which I started a thread on with pics. It started as an irritated hair follicle, then turned into a sweat pimple, then widened out and broke open. There are pics in the thread "Skin problem".
Fucidin based ointment cleared it up presto fasto, when nothing else would.
EDIT again, here is the thread.
